Fall cardmaking makes me want to reach for all the warm colors, cozy patterns, and little details that make a handmade card feel extra special. This “Warm & Cozy Wishes” card featuring the Pretty Little Studio Well Read collection is a perfect combination of all those things!

I love the mix of warm fall shades in the Well Read papers, rusty orange, mustard yellow, olive green, soft coral, and cozy peach.  Layered together, they create this stunning background paper.  The different patterned papers work beautifully together while still keeping that warm, autumn inspired feeling.

The center of attention for this card is the fun, fuzzy, fall hat shaker element! The shaker pieces add movement and a little bit of surprise when the card is picked up and twisted side to side.

The soft aqua patterned paper inside the shaker adds a beautiful contrast to the warmer colors surrounding it, while the tiny mix of sequins brings in all the colors from the rest of the card.

Fall is one of my favorite times to get creative with paper, and this card is a reminder that you don't need complicated techniques to make something special. Mix a few coordinating patterns, add some dimension, throw in a shaker element, and let those beautiful colors do the work!
