Hey, y'all!  It's Jinny here today with another page, inspired by the Hey Summer Collection, as promised; and we're still getting use out of our little, backyard pool in my neck of the woods, so it still seems fitting weatherwise.

I started this page by adding a large puddle of aqua watercolor to a 6-3/4" x 12" piece of watercolor paper.  I also splattered it with that same shade of watercolor.  Once it was dry, I edged its left side with a 1-3/4" x 12" strip of the Chasing the Sun: Waves print; hand-cut scallop from the Candy Cane: 12"x12" Fruitcake print; 1-1/4" strip of the Candy Cane: Green Apple Lillipop print, torn down its left edge; and a 2-1/4" x 12" strip of the Beach Party print, anchoring the first two with black-threaded, straight, machine stitching.  Once everything was secured together, I splattered it all with Ceramcoat Paradise acrylic paint and Folkart Lemonade, Ballet Pink, Pure Black, and Titanium White acrylic paints.  I just love the way acrylic paints set on top of, rather than soak into, the prints!

Once everything was dry once again, I tucked a 4" Cambridge Doily; Blue Skies Die-Cut tag, laced with white string, tied in a bow; a couple of hand-cut, from the Chasing the Sun: 12"x12" Family Fun print, frames, crowned with a You Are My Sunshine: Fresh Bloom Stems Floral Die-Cut dragonfly, popped up with foam tape; and trimmings from my stash into the paper layers.

My photos were then matted with white cardstock; set, over my watercolor puddle, atop a snippet of cheesecloth for added texture...

and grounded with a Poolin' Around Die-Cut pool, popped up with foam tape; given a hint of shine with Recollections fine white glitter; and sandwiched between a trio of You Are My Sunshine: Fresh Bloom Stems Floral Die Cuts and You Are My Sunshine: Fruit Salad Die Cuts, popped up with layers of foam tape.

The trail of title work turns my design sideways once again and begins with a "CHASING summer" You Are My Sunshine: Just Peachy Word Title Die Cut, topped with the "POOLIN' AROUND" Summer Memories White Word Sticker title and grounded with "life is better in FLIP FLOPS" and "sunkissed" Salt Air Word Die Cuts...

as well as an "I LOVE SUMMER" Poolin' Around Die Cut, all of which were popped up with layers of foam tape.  A Blue Skies Die-Cut sunshine, popped up with foam tape...

and label, etched with the handwritten date; "SUMMER IS HERE" Forever Summer Cut-Apart Word Flag, popped up with foam tape; and hand-cut "sunny" Clear Cardstock Word, stapled in place at both ends, complete the look.
