Hello Pretty Little Studio friends!

Today I’m sharing a sweet everyday memory featuring Hailey and our new kitten, Callie, using the Love Is Kind collection. This page is titled Happy Moments, and that really does describe this photo perfectly. Hailey was so excited to wake up and have some morning snuggles with Callie. She couldn’t wait to hold her and give her lots of love, and these two were already well on their way to becoming the best of friends!

For my background, I used the Totally Sweet 12x12 patterned paper from the Love Is Kind collection. I love how much detail is already built into this paper with the soft mixed-media look, scattered hearts, splatters and subtle printed elements. It gave me a beautiful starting point while still leaving plenty of open space for my photo and embellishments.

I matted my photo with patterned paper from the 6x6 Main Paper Pack, adding just enough color and pattern to help it stand out from the background. From there, I built the design outward using several banner pieces from the Be Mine Banner Die Cuts. I love how the banners add movement across the page and help carry the colors from one side of the layout to the other.

For my title, I used “Happy Moments” from the Friends Forever Word Die Cuts. I placed it across the lower portion of the photo so it becomes part of the main focal point while still keeping Hailey and Callie front and center.

I also layered in pieces from the Be Mine Bracket Labels around the page, along with pieces from the Lovely Mix Assorted Die Cuts. The hearts, florals and other small decorative elements were perfect for building clusters around the photo and repeating those soft peach, pink and aqua tones throughout the layout.

To add a few extra sentiments, I used the Best Friend Word Stickers and added Song with Love Clear Stickers throughout the background. I love how the clear stickers blend right into the printed mixed-media details, making them look like they were part of the background all along.

I added my typed journaling beneath the photo to preserve the story behind this sweet moment. It’s the kind of memory that might seem small at the time—Hailey waking up excited to cuddle our new kitten—but those everyday moments are exactly the ones I’m so glad to have documented years later.

I love how this page came together. The playful banners, hearts and florals complement the sweetness of the photo, while all of the little friendship-themed details help tell the story of Hailey and Callie’s very early bond.
