Warm colors, cozy textures, and charming seasonal details make autumn one of my favorite times to sit down in my craft room and create something beautiful to share. Today, I’m featuring a fall-inspired card using Pretty Little Studio’s Ginger Snap collection, filled with all the warmth and whimsical details that make this time of year so inspiring.
For this card, I wanted to capture the feeling of a crisp autumn day with a palette of golden yellow, rusty orange, warm cream, and rich terracotta. These colors work together beautifully to create a cozy fall design that feels both playful and nostalgic.
I started with a golden yellow card base and layered several patterned papers to add depth and interest. The cream-and-yellow diagonal stripes create a fun background, while the rich rust-colored frame and delicate fall-inspired print bring in those beautiful autumn tones. I love how the different layers frame the focal point and make all the little details stand out!
The cream panel at the top features a darling fox postage-stamp image, complete with vintage-inspired postmark details. It adds a touch of old-fashioned charm and creates a lovely contrast with the busier patterns surrounding it.
The real fun begins with the embellishments! I layered a vintage-style ticket, a sweet little bird nestled in a nest, pinecones, a butterfly, and colorful leaf accents along the bottom of the card. Each piece adds its own personality while working together to create a charming autumn scene.
The word autumn anchors the design and brings all those warm fall elements together. I especially love mixing different shapes, patterns, and ephemera to create a collage-style focal point. The combination of playful illustrations and vintage-inspired details gives this card so much character!
