Mixing the You Are My Sunshine and Sunkissed Collections!!!

Hello Scrappy Friends!  This is Tara and I am sharing a layout that I created with a mix of two collections:  Sunkissed and You Are My Sunshine.  I leaned more heavily on Sunkissed for this one and also used up some scraps from a previous layout! I hang onto my scraps and keep them with the collection until I run out of patterned paper!! That way whenever I am creating something new and need a little something-something, I can dig through the scraps I've created in the past!!

For this layout, I pulled a piece of patterned paper from You Are My Sunshine from the Sunshine Mixed Paper Pack-Double Sided for my background.  I loved the pop of coral on the right hand side of the ledger.   From there, using my nesting triangle dies, I cut out 34 triangles from the scraps and a piece of acetate from the Sunkissed collection.  I couldn't find the acetate in the shop but it looks like the patterned paper from this pack. I pieced those triangles together like a quilt top along the left hand side of the background paper. I anchored the triangles with a scalloped border  from the Sunkissed The Scent of Spring Scallop Border Die Cuts on the top and bottom. 

I matted my three photos with a scrap of plain black cardstock.  My photos are 3x4 plus two 2x3 of my granddaughter with her little friend on a playdate in the summer of 2018.  I placed my three photos on the triangle design, but offset so as not to cover up that fun border!  I almost always add my titles and journal spots immediately after putting my photos down, otherwise I don't always remember to make room for them!  I used two titles from the Sunkissed Fun In The Sun Word Titles pack.  I love labels for journaling and I chose two from the Sunkissed Sunbeam labels pack. After I got those where I wanted them on my layout, I layered up some small flowers from the Sunkissed Daisies Mini Die Cuts pack.  I also added a wordy bit from the You Are My Sunshine Chill Out Word Cut Aparts. My final touch was to add the coral flair from the Sunkissed Flair-these don't appear to be in the shop any longer but here's your "permission" to use those if you do have them in your Pretty Little Studio stash!!!
