There’s still time to splash into summer, and this card is all about making the most of those last few weeks of sunshine before we welcome fall and Halloween!
For this card, we're highlighting the You Are My Sunshine Collection, and the Orange Crush background paper immediately became my favorite part of the design. With its mix of orange, aqua, cream, and painterly details, it almost looks like a watercolor painting inspired by summer. The bright sunshine colors paired with the cool blue waves create the perfect balance of warm and refreshing, making it feel like a sunny day at the pool or beach.
To create the layered focal point, I combined several of the You Are My Sunshine word die cuts, stacking and overlapping them to build dimension and make the sentiment really stand out. The large splash element brings in that playful water theme, while “PARTY!” adds a bright pop of energy. Together, they create the perfect Splash Party invitation to celebrate summer just a little longer.
And because it’s Summerween, sunshine and swimming with pumpkins and ghosts fit perfectly with the orange, aqua and pink color scheme.
