Hello, Pretty Little Studio friends!  I'm so excited to share my latest layout with you, created with the You Are My Sunshine collection. My inspiration for this project was the June Scraplift layout created by Caryn Kidwell.

I love the grid design of Caryn's layout and the sentiments: sunny and happiness. This led me to create a layout about some of my favorite activities: reading and scrapbooking.  If I'm not relaxing in my recliner or on the deck reading my latest novel, you can find me surrounded by my scrapbook products in my craft room. 

 To create my layout, I chose 2 recent photos and began with the Under the Sun patterned paper from the You Are My Sunshine collection. Next, I fussy-cut a journaling block, the large butterfly, and lemonade images from the Journaling Cards in the You Are My Sunshine collection. I added a Rainbow Cut-Apart to the upper left of the layout to balance out that lovely large butterfly in the bottom right. To continue those lovely rainbow colors, I adhered paper strips from the Sunshine Mixed 6x9 Paper Pack beside each photo. The final touches include die-cuts from the Butterfly Wings and Light-Hearted packs. The die-cuts Joy and Be Creative from the Sunkissed collection seemed perfect for this layout. I adhered several of the elements on dimensional foam and some with my tape runner.
