Hi Pretty Little Studio friends, it's Kim and I'm back today with a layout using the gorgeous Grateful Heart collection. My granddaughter's dress was perfect for this collection.

I started with plain white cardstock and added some gesso to the bottom of my page. I pulled some paints from my stash and went to work creating the background. I used a paper from the Grateful Heart collection that had a mixed media look to it. I cut the top of it out then, I used foam tape to raise it up and placed it on the top of my page. My title was from the Autumn Afternoon Words Diecuts .

I kept my embellishing simple on this one, I didn't want it to look too busy with all the mixed media. I fussy cut some flowers, added a label for my date and a few mini banners all around my photo. I added a strip my favorite Sewn with Love Clear Stickers on both the top and bottom of my page. To finish, I added some tiny flowers and thread.

Poolin' Around

Hey, y'all! It's Jinny here today with another page, inspired by the Hey Summer Collection , as promised; and we're still getting use out of our little, backyard pool in my neck of the woods, so it still seems fitting weatherwise.

I started this page by adding a large puddle of aqua watercolor to a 6-3/4" x 12" piece of watercolor paper. I also splattered it with that same shade of watercolor. Once it was dry, I edged its left side with a 1-3/4" x 12" strip of the Chasing the Sun: Waves print; hand-cut scallop from the Candy Cane: 12"x12" Fruitcake print; 1-1/4" strip of the Candy Cane: Green Apple Lillipop print, torn down its left edge; and a 2-1/4" x 12" strip of the Beach Party print, anchoring the first two with black-threaded, straight, machine stitching. Once everything was secured together, I splattered it all with Ceramcoat Paradise acrylic paint and Folkart Lemonade, Ballet Pink, Pure Black, and Titanium White acrylic paints. I just love the way acrylic paints set on top of, rather than soak into, the prints!

Once everything was dry once again, I tucked a 4" Cambridge Doily ; Blue Skies Die-Cut tag, laced with white string, tied in a bow; a couple of hand-cut, from the Chasing the Sun: 12"x12" Family Fun print, frames, crowned with a You Are My Sunshine: Fresh Bloom Stems Floral Die-Cut dragonfly, popped up with foam tape; and trimmings from my stash into the paper layers.

My photos were then matted with white cardstock; set, over my watercolor puddle, atop a snippet of cheesecloth for added texture...

and grounded with a Poolin' Around Die-Cut pool, popped up with foam tape; given a hint of shine with Recollections fine white glitter; and sandwiched between a trio of You Are My Sunshine: Fresh Bloom Stems Floral Die Cuts and You Are My Sunshine: Fruit Salad Die Cuts , popped up with layers of foam tape.

The trail of title work turns my design sideways once again and begins with a "CHASING summer" You Are My Sunshine: Just Peachy Word Title Die Cut , topped with the "POOLIN' AROUND" Summer Memories White Word Sticker title and grounded with "life is better in FLIP FLOPS" and "sunkissed" Salt Air Word Die Cuts ...

as well as an "I LOVE SUMMER" Poolin' Around Die Cut , all of which were popped up with layers of foam tape. A Blue Skies Die-Cut sunshine, popped up with foam tape...

and label, etched with the handwritten date; "SUMMER IS HERE" Forever Summer Cut-Apart Word Flag , popped up with foam tape; and hand-cut "sunny" Clear Cardstock Word , stapled in place at both ends, complete the look.

Capture Today with the Ginger Snap collection

Hey Scrappy Friends! MandaJane with you today. One of my all-time favorite collections from Pretty Little Studio is the fall themed Ginger Snap collection. It has been my favorite for literally YEARS! Now that PLS is releasing an all new autumn themed collection called Heartwarming, I've decided to stop hoarding my Ginger Snap supplies and actually get them into my albumns!

This photo is one of my husband last year at our Halloween Nights of Horror Downtown. I figured since the first day of fall was yesterday, we are allowed to start showing off those Halloween pictures! Am I right?

Down below you will find a lot of the items I used on my page. They are all from the Ginger Snap collection.

I started with the Ledger Paper #4 as my background. I also matted my photo with lots of scraps from this collection.

The main ephemera that I used on my page is the die cut dried flowers. I think they helped my layout feel light and airy. And the title words are always the perfect finishing touch.

Double Page Layout - Sunkissed

Hi, friends! Today I have a multi-photo 2 page layout using the Sunkissed collection and a few specialty papers from You are my Sunshine! Both of these collections work so well with just about anything I want to document! Today I am documenting all of my grandkids when we went to a local blueberry patch! This layout will go in my youngest granddaughter's scrapbook, but includes all of the kids.

For my layout I started with Backyard Beauty , Floral Notes from the vellum pack , Summer Love from the 6x9 clear pack , and a double-sided paper from an older collection Miss Sadie Rose. I cut strips of each of the papers (front and back of the Miss Sadie Rose paper and the branding strip). I punch fish tail banners in several of the strips. Next, I arranged the strips across two sheets of white cardstock. Once I determined where I liked everything I poked holes and stitched 5 lines over some of the strips. (especially the vellum and clear transparency ones because then you don't have to worry about adhesive showing). After stitching I added some diecuts from Smell the Flowers . I also added one phrase diecut from the Ducks in a Row pack. My title was created from circa 2007 raw chipboard alphas that I inked up!

I am so excited to have scrapbooked 8 photos of this fun outting!

Capturing the essence of Summer with the Sun-kissed Collection

Hello and HappMonday, y'all! Misty @Mommyofkidz here with you today sharing my newest layout in my TN art journal. I used the Sun-kissed Collection for this one, it just seemed so appropriate! Actually, I used a combination of physical product that I had on hand, along with Sun-kissed digital products from the Pretty Little Studio Shop. I find it very handy that I can print my own elements to match whatever I am working on...I absolutely LOVE the Pretty Little Studio Digital Product Collection !

Anyway, I wanted to capture the essence of summer as it slowly fades away...and this photo was the perfect way to do that! You can't see it very will in the photo of a photo, but there is a giant dragonfly on my toe! I was just chatting away with friends and one of them noticed the giant insect perched on my toe...not moving. So I took a photo! This is the epitome of summer to me, and I can't even explain why. Just, at that moment, relaxing in the tube in the middle of the lake, chatting with friends and wasting the day away...it is my idea of the perfect summer day.

I am sooooo glad that I was able to capture this photo to remind me of that day forever! I finally scrapped it for the September Capture Summer Challenge, and love how it turned out! Head on over to the Pretty Little Studio Facebook Fans Page and join us in the monthly challenges!

All the Fall Feels

Hello, Pretty Little Studio friends! Even though it is September 20, it is 91 degrees in Kentucky today. I'm looking forward to cooler temperatures, falling leaves, and pulling out those sweaters and jackets. My layout, Sweater Weather, is celebrating all things Fall. I wanted to incorporate all of the great colors and patterns in the Ginger Snap collection.

I began by cutting lots of 1/2" strips of patterned paper in various lengths. I arranged those strips in rows. Of course, sweater weather calls for some stitching, so I added rows of chain stitches to every other row. I distressed the background with various stamps and ink from my collection. Finally, I layered larger strips of patterned paper from the Ginger Snap collection behind the photo. The photo is one of me wearing my favorite Fall sweater. What are your favorite things about Fall? I hope you are inspired to document those Fall memories. The Ginger Snap collection is perfect for everything Fall.

Wonderful Adventure | Pretty Little Studio Design Team

Hello crafty friends! I’m excited to share a new layout featuring lots of hearts, layers, bold patterns, and a fun adventure photo. I wanted this page to feel playful and energetic while still keeping the photograph as the main focus. The Frosty Collection has beautiful colors and patterns and can be used for more than just Winter memories. Here I am documenting a Summer adventure with this beautiful collection!

I chose several coordinating patterned papers from the Frosty Collection and cut hearts in different sizes. I love how mixing the florals, gingham and colorful heart patterns adds so much interest while still creating a cohesive design. I arranged the hearts in a loose cluster through the center of my page, overlapping some of them and allowing others to peek out from behind the photo. The larger shapes create a great foundation for the layout and help draw your eye directly toward the photograph. I especially love the contrast created by the blue and black-and-white patterns against the white background.

For my photo, I added several layers behind it using the Oh What Fun labels . I love adding layers around my photos because they provide separation from a busy background while bringing even more color and texture into the design.

The “Wonderful Adventure” title from the Frosty Winter Wishes Titles pack became another major focal point. I placed it beside and slightly overlapping the photo and heart cluster so everything feels connected rather than floating separately on the page. The combination of the script word Wonderful with the bold Adventure lettering adds a fun mix of styles and fits the personality of the photo perfectly!

Using the Frosty Sugar Cookies Die Cuts and Frosty Cozy Sweater Word Flags I created little clusters as well. Those little details add just enough interest without competing with all of the patterned papers.

I love how this layout turned out! The oversized hearts gave me an easy way to showcase several beautiful patterns on one page, while the dark blue and black-and-white papers provide enough contrast to keep all those colors from becoming overwhelming. Most importantly, the playful design captures the laughter, fun and adventure of the memory in the photo - one of our motorcycle trips with friends to beautiful Eureka Springs.

Summer Snapshots|Summer Is A Feeling

Hello scrappy friends! Tara here today to share a layout using You Are My Sunshine! This month one of the challenges in Pretty Little Studio Fans group on Facebook is "Summer Is A Feeling". For me, a nice bowl of freshly cut watermelon sums up summer in a single photo! I am scrapbooking a photo of sliced watermelon! I started out with a background paper from the Sunshine Mixed patterned paper. I matted my photo on one of the 6x6 patterned papers from Sunshine ACCENT patterned paper pack. I then, matted the entire 6x6 paper with plain black cardstock. I added my title directly to the phone and grabbed three journaling labels to tell my story from the Lazy Days Labels . I used some daisies, bees, a sun, and watermelon slices from the Fruit Salad Die Cuts pack to create a few embellishment clusters around my photo! I also pulled watermelon slices from a few other die cut packs . I grabbed a couple of phrases from the Chasing Summer phrase set , as well as a banner with the phrase "Bursting With Flavor from the Chill Out Words Cut Apart pack to add a little visual interest around my photo.

I really love how this layout came out and this collection was absolutely perfect for my photo! Here are some close-ups of my layout.

Smile Sunshine

There are some collections that just make you happy the moment you start creating, and Pretty Little Studio’s You Are My Sunshine collection is definitely one of those for me! The cheerful combination of sunny yellow, shades of blue, playful patterns, and sweet little details makes it perfect for creating a card designed to brighten someone's day.

For this card, I wanted to let the sentiments and colors do the talking. Rather than creating one large focal point, I built the design with several layers of words, patterns, and tiny embellishments that all work together to tell one happy little story.

One of my favorite things about this card is the way the sentiments are layered.

The handwritten “smile” sits right above the bold yellow “SUNSHINE” strip. The different fonts and sizes create contrast and make the sentiments feel like part of the design rather than simply words added to the card.

The sweet little scene at the bottom is one of my most favorite patterned papers from the collection. It has so many possibilities. Line it up perfectly on your card front, fussy cut the little houses to create whimsical die cuts or add embellishments to enhance the scene. Whatever you choose, this paper will become one of your favorites, too!

The Pretty Little Studio You Are My Sunshine collection makes it easy to create cards that feel happy and uplifting. The collection is filled with versatile colors and patterns that can be mixed and matched for summer cards, birthdays, friendship cards, encouragement, or simply a little happy mail.

And sometimes, that's exactly what someone needs, a handmade card arriving in the mailbox with a simple reminder to smile and keep looking for sunshine. ��

Chasing Summer

Hello crafty friends! I’m excited to be back today sharing a bright and cheerful summer layout filled with some of my favorite things—bold color, lots of layers, stitching, and plenty of little details! For this page, I wanted to capture the carefree feeling of a beautiful summer day on the water while letting the gorgeous colors and patterns really shine. I created with the Pretty Little Studio SunKissed Collection - perfect for documenting all the summer moments!

My photos feature a day of paddleboarding in the beautiful turquoise water, so I knew right away that I wanted the page to feel sunny, playful, and full of movement. I pulled together a palette of pink, orange, yellow, aqua, teal, and green, which worked perfectly with the colors in my photos and gave me that fun tropical summer feeling I was looking for. The polka dot pattern was the perfect foundation. I love the soft watercolor-style dots because they add plenty of color without overwhelming the photos. I also added hand stitching around the edges of this panel. Stitching is one of my favorite ways to add texture to a layout, and here it gives the center of the page a little extra definition while creating a handmade, finished look. I also used (on the labels) the Sunny Stitches stickers to create the look of stitching.

Across the top of the layout, I layered a strip of patterned paper and added a row of fussy cut scalloped borders underneath. I repeated those scallops throughout the page—in aqua beside the photos, teal beneath the photo area and title, and pink along the bottom. Repeating the same shape in different colors is such an easy way to create continuity and help all of the different areas of a layout feel connected.

Next came the embellishing—always one of my favorite parts! I tucked SunKissed In The Clouds die cuts around the photos and added small heart stickers (also in this collection) throughout the page. I also layered several Sunkissed Sunbeam Label Diecuts along the right side of the photos with phrases stamped that remind me of summer. These little pieces were perfect for reinforcing the summer theme while also creating a visual path that leads your eye down toward the title.

My title, “ Chasing Summer, ” became a major focal point of the layout. I love the contrast of the large black-and-white script word “Summer” against all of the bright colors surrounding it. The smaller “Chasing” above it completes the phrase without competing with that beautiful oversized word. I layered additional aqua scallops and embellishments around the title to help it feel like part of the overall design rather than something simply placed on top.

From the stitched border and colorful scallops to the tiny hearts, labels, clouds, and dimensional pieces, there is a lot happening—but the white background and repeated colors keep everything feeling cohesive. I also love how the design reflects the photos themselves. The page feels bright, energetic, sunny, and just a little whimsical—exactly how I remember this day. That is always one of my favorite parts of scrapbooking: using color, pattern, and embellishments not only to decorate our photos, but also to help tell the feeling of the story.

Summer memories are some of my absolute favorites to document, and this layout definitely makes me want to hold onto those bright skies, sunny days, and beautiful blue water just a little bit longer.

Farmers Market Travelers Notebook Layout with You Are My Sunshine

Hello Pretty Little Studio Fans! Suzanna here today to share with you a spread in my Random, About Me travelers notebook that I created with the You Are My Sunshine collection! While we don't go regularly, I love our trips to one of the local farmers markets we have around here. I love how all the color from this collection reflects the bountiful colors of our haul!

Here's the full layout;

The lefthand page is a full size, large photo of the goodies we picked up at the market. You can see the rainbow of colors in the photo and how the photo inspired what happens on the right hand side, right?

A rainbow cascade of elements down the right hand page! I used a mix of Under the Stars Die Cuts, 100% Sunshine Word Shape Diecuts Lemonade Mix Diecuts and Chasing Summer Word Stickers (love those itty bitty word phrases!) down the right hand side of a loose leaf lined paper that I cut down to fit into the booklet.

That lined paper is a flap that opens up to reveal more photos and journaling while the green file folder tab actually is attached to the background paper and secures the flap while closed! Pretty tricky, eh?! The lined paper is folded and secured underneath the right hand edge of the rainbow lined patterned paper.

Not much is needed on the left hand page as it's already rather busy with all the colors and shapes of the produce. I did put a bold, yellow element at the bottom for some visual interest as well as a multi color banner up at the top.

Summer Story

Hi Pretty Little Studio friends, it's Kim and I'm back today with a layout using a mix of collections. I mainly used the Love Is Kind and You Are My Sunshine collections on this page of my sweet granddaughters.

I started with white cardstock and used a stencil, stamps and inks from my stash. I backed my photo with scraps and packaging. I pulled my title from the Berry Sweet Words Diecuts.

I embellished my page using the gorgeous florals from the Apple Blossom Floral Diecuts and the Fresh Bloom Stems Diecuts . I added a few hearts from the In My Heart 6x12 Diecuts and finished with a few butterflies.

Wildflowers Collection

Hello all my Pretty Little Studio Friends! Misty @Mommyofkidz here with you today sharing my newest layout featuring the Wildflowers Collection. This is my FAVORITE collection for sure...mostly because I LOVE the purples! Not only is purple my favorite color, but it is also the color of ROYALTY!!
For this layout, I used the Purple, Yellow, Green Combo and I love it! The 12x12 Ledger Pack was perfect for the background page and for adding that pop of purple/lilac. There are elements from several different ephemera packs in here, as well as some D igital bits . I LOVE the deep green slimline tag in the center of the layout, which came from this 3x8 Hello Sunshine Pack. Since I decided to use 3 tags, I thought it was only fitting to use the 3 photos of my husband with each of his daughters at their graduation. I mean, their colors were YELLOW...how perfect was that!??

I absolutely LOVE the wildflowers collection and would totally add in ALL THE THINGS if it didn't overload my layout! LOL..but it would...so I kept it to a minimum. HA HA ! Even though the shop is currently on a break, you can still purchase the digital elements... Here are the Wildflowers Digitals . Go check them out and download your favorites!

Summer Vibes

Hey, y'all! It's Jinny here today with a page inspired by our September Scraplift Challenge (Scroll down to see the goods.) and some oldies, but goodies, from the Hey Summer Collection . Weatherwise, it hasn't taken a turn for fall yet in my neck of the woods; so, I'm still holding onto summer.

I started this page by adding a smear of white gesso, near vertical center but just left of horizontal center, of the Summer Love 12x12 background print. I then splattered everything with Folkart Ballet Pink, Lemonade, Pure Black, and Titanium White acrylic paints, as well as Ceramcoat Paradise acrylic paint. Once everything was dry, I anchored pieces of a couple of prints from the 6x9 Paper Pack , as well as a scrap of the Sunny Days 8x8 print, with silver-threaded, straight, machine stitching, over the splatter-painted white gesso and topped them with my photo, which was matted with white cardstock and backed with a snippet of cheesecloth for texture.

My photo itself was then crowned with a collection of goodies, including a Summer Label Die Cut ; Blue Skies Die-Cut circle phrase, popped up with foam tape, and label, etched with the handwritten date; "FUN" Summer Adventure Die-Cut Tag ; "hey SUMMER" Beach Bits Die-Cut banner, popped up with more foam tape; and a Salt Air Word Die-Cut sun, once again, popped up with foam tape.

That same photo was then sandwiched between a trio of You Are My Sunshine: Fresh Bloom Stems Floral Die Cuts and You Are My Sunshine: Fruit Salad Die Cuts , topped with a You Are My Sunshine: Fresh Bloom Stems Floral Die-Cut bee on the left...

and embellished with a "SUMMER DAYS" Beach Bits Die-Cut rainbow on the right.

It was then grounded with a perfectly color-matched Bella Blvd acrylic "HAPPY"; "SUNNY DAYS" Salt Air Word Die Cut ; Summer Label Die Cut , etched with a little handwritten journaling...

"summer vibes" Salt Air Word Die-Cut title, popped up with foam tape; Beach Bits Die-Cut "CURRENTLY" phrase, popped up with more foam tape; and an "EVERYDAY MOMENTS" Summer Memories White Word Sticker .

A hand-cut, from a Vitamin Sea Journaling Card , "just chill" beverage, popped up with foam tape and given a hint of shimmer and shine with Recollections fine white glitter, completes the look.

Hello my Pretty Little Studio friends! Today, I am scrapping a cute little photo of my daughter with a new friend she made during a homeschool group meet up. I am using the Sunkissed collection for this layout!! I love the purples in this one and tried to bring those out with my stenciling and inking up of the title.

The first thing that I did was to use my Cameo to cut circles out of the center of two patterned papers. One circle is 7.5" and the other is 8.5" (this paper came out of the linked paper pack). The actual circles I stuck back in with my collection to be used at a later date since I am using the negative of the cutfile. Once those were cut out, I did some hand stitching in black floss to help make those papers pop a little and to offer just a tad more texture to my finished layout. I also used an ink pad to do some stenciling in the middle of my background paper . Once the stitching was completed, I added some fun foam to the back of each paper so that I would have some depth to my background. Here's a photo of the background drying out on my mat before finishing up the layout.

My next step was to add my photo after piecing together a photo mat out of scraps from a 6x9 paper from the Accent pack . I used washi tape to tack the two pieces from this pack together so I could cut a 4.25"x6.25" photo mat of my daughter and her friend. I anchored my photo with two scalloped borders from the Scent of Spring scalloped borders pack. From there I added my title and a label from the Sunbeam Label Die Cuts for my journaling and I started tucking floral die cuts from the Daisies Die Cuts and Smell The Flowers Die Cuts packages. I also added a couple of phrases from the Taste of Summer Word Stickers to my journaling label to finish off my layout. Here's the finished layout.

Traveler's Notebook with Digitals and Ginger Snap

Hello Pretty Little Studio Friends! Misty @Mommyofkidz here with you today sharing a new layout in my art journal/traveler's notebook. Whatever you call it, it is a great way to keep your thoughts and ideas together in one place that is actually a lot more personal than a full album. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE working with 12x12 layouts. It is "My Jam". However, I have noticed, as my kids get older, I don't really have a reason to keep all the various albums that I once had. And, as I get older, I am finding that I want to write my thoughts down for them to read someday when I am gone. Not just facts about an event or statistics about their sports teams. My actual THOUGHTS on them, on their accomplishments, on their chosen career path, partners, and choices. I want to get all mushy and MOM like...all up in my feels. So, rather than putting it into albums that everyone will see, ore saying it out loud and embarrassing them, I write it here. I actually consider my notebook as more of a journal or diary
That brings me to the Traveler's Notebook that I have been working in this past year or so. I have shared a few layouts here and there... you can look them up if you'd like. Just type my name into the search bar and it will pull up all my projects. I mostly use Pretty Little Studio digitals for this, but I did add in some GingerSnap collection this time. For this layout, I decided to do a page about myself. Me. I used the M that I cut for the Ginger Snap Ledger page using the Baby Claire digital alphas. . I also used a few other pieces of the digital ephemera. The Nature Walk i s flipping awesome and I love the colors! I did mix in a lot of Ginger Snap from my stash, like the word stickers and the banner. The store may be closed for a while, but the digital collections are still available! Moments together - Love is Kind

Hi, friends! Today I have a layout using the Love is Kind collection! I love the softness of this collection along with all the sweet sentiments! I think this collection has been so versitile for so many occasions! Today's layout is a sweet moment captured of my two granddaughters. They are cousins who are sometimes more like sisters! I hope they continue to share this sweet bond (and maybe get over the drama lol)!

For my layout I started with the gorgeous Heart You paper. It has the most perfect faux stitching all around the heart! (So, of course, I decided to use those lines to poke holes and stitch over it LOL!) After I did all my chain stitching around the heart I cut the heart out being careful to preserve the background because I just wanted to be able to tuck some little flowers under the edge of the heart. Which I did in three places using the Forget Me Not punch out diecuts . I also added a few diecuts from the Lovely Mix . My title is from the Story of Us words . I did pop up my photo and title, as well as, the edges of several of my little florals and butterflies with foam tape for some extra dimension. I kept it very simple and I think it worked out perfect for this photo!

Traveling Journal Spread

Hi everyone! Kat here to share a new project with you. I recently joined a Sisterhood of the Traveling Journal group. In this group, everyone creates a journal filled with fun prompts and then mails their journal to someone else in the group. The chain continues until everyone has played in everyone else's journal. It's such a fun concept.

Another popular thing to do in these journals is to leave a few blank pages for each person in the group to add something fun to your journal - really whatever strikes their creative fancy. So, for this journal, I decided to create a fun "seasons" page using a bunch of different PLS collections, including Feels Like Fall, Blooming Hearts, You Are My Sunshine, and Frosty and Friends. Here's what I whipped up:

Beautiful Life with the Ginger Snap collection

This photo is one of my favorites from carline when I used to take my kids to school in the morning. This particular day was the last day of school before Thanksgiving break. My daughter, Elizabeth, was having a Hoedown Throwdown where she had to dress up as a cowgirl. I really miss the days when the kids used to have to dress up at the Primary School. Oh, what fun times they had!

Summer is a Feeling - You are My Sunshine Collection

Hello, Shanel here today sharing a new Pretty Little Studio Design Team layout featuring our challenge for this month - Summer is a Feeling. I’m excited to share a bright and cheerful summer layout created with the Pretty Little Studio You Are My Sunshine collection. This collection is filled with the happiest colors and patterns, and it was perfect for documenting one of those simple summer moments that makes me smile—my sweet dog relaxing in a lounge chair by the pool.

For this layout, I wanted to capture more than just a day by the pool. I wanted the page to reflect that carefree, colorful feeling of summer, so I built my design around a large layered sunburst filled with patterned papers.

Creating the Layered Sunburst

I started with a patterned paper background, the Fly A Kite patterned paper from this Collection, and created a large sunburst as the main foundation of my page. I cut rays in different widths and lengths from several patterned papers in the You Are My Sunshine collection, choosing a playful mixture of yellows, oranges, reds, blues and greens. Instead of making every ray perfectly uniform, I varied the patterns and sizes to give the sunburst a more relaxed, handmade appearance. I layered the rays slightly over one another, which added dimension and helped all those gorgeous patterns work together without feeling too structured.

The sunburst immediately brought so much movement to the page and naturally draws your eye toward the photo. I placed my photos of my pampered pooch where they could become part of the sunburst rather than covering too much of it. By adding card stock behind the photos, it gives separation from the busy background and help them remain the focal point.

Next came the florals - I clustered floral die cuts from the You Are My Sunshine Collection Fruit Salad diecuts around the photo mixing different sizes and I used dimensional adhesive behind several of the flowers so they lift slightly from the page. I love the contrast between the geometric lines of the sunburst and the softer shapes of the flowers. These little connections help all of the different areas of the page feel like one cohesive design! Sticker phrases are scattered around the page from The Chasing Summer package and labels from Poolside Labels help the design feel more connected at the bottom of the page, both from this beautiful collection.

The idea behind this page really became my title and theme using a Hello Sunshine title from the You Are My Sunshine Peachy Titles. Sometimes the photos we scrapbook aren't about a big vacation or special event. They're about those everyday moments that capture exactly what a season feels like. A sunny afternoon, the pool, a favorite lounge chair—and my sweet furry friend who clearly understands how summer is supposed to be enjoyed!

The colorful sunburst, playful patterns, florals and die cuts from the Pretty Little Studio You Are My Sunshine collection were the perfect way to capture that happy, relaxed summer vibe!

I hope this layout inspires you to pull out several of your favorite patterned papers and combine them into one bold design. A sunburst is such a fun way to use lots of patterns on a single page.

Thankful + Blessed | Ginger Snap

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends! I’m so happy to be back sharing another layout, this time using the beautiful fall colors and patterns from the Ginger Snap collection! My layout is titled Thankful + Blessed , and I love how all of the warm autumn colors and seasonal details came together to document this family photo.

I started with the Pumpkin Pie patterned paper from the Ginger Snap collection for my background. The beautiful mix of pumpkins, florals, leaves and other fall elements gave me so much detail to work with before I even began adding anything to the page. I love a patterned paper that does some of the work for you!

To create a place for my photo and embellishments to sit, I layered a large piece of the Candy Corn patterned paper, using the tiny heart side. I love how the scattered hearts bring all of the colors from the background into the center of the page while still being subtle enough that they don’t compete with my photo.

For my title, I used “Thankful + Blessed” from the Pumpkin Spice Die Cut Word Titles . The neutral lettering really stands out against the tiny hearts, and the sentiment was perfect for a layout centered around family.

From there, I had fun layering lots of different die cuts around my photo. I tucked in tabs and tickets from the Potpourri Die Cuts along with circles from the Birdseed Shapes Die Cuts to add little bits of color and pattern behind the photo.

The large turkey from the Backyard Wildlife Vintage Die Cuts was too perfect not to use! I made him the star of the embellishment cluster at the bottom of my photo and surrounded him with flowers and leaves from the Dried Flowers Die Cuts . I love the mix of the more realistic vintage turkey with the softer florals and foliage. It creates such a fun seasonal cluster and adds lots of dimension to that corner of the page.

I repeated some of those Dried Flowers Die Cuts in the upper-right corner along with a ticket to balance the larger cluster near my photo. I also added a word sticker from the Colors of Fall Wordfetti Stickers for one last little sentiment.

I love how this layout came together! There are lots of patterns, colors and embellishments, but the large area of tiny hearts in the center gives everything a little breathing room and keeps the focus on the photo and the story. And really, what could be more perfect for a fall family layout than being Thankful + Blessed ?

Love Blooms

Hi Pretty Little Studio friends, it's Kim and I'm back today with a layout using a mix of the fabulous Love Is Kind and Wildflowers collections. I had this older photo of my daughter and her family and thought it would work great for my take on the September sketch.

I started with the Side by Side Ledger 12x12 Paper and then, I used a stamp from my stash and stamped where my photo and clusters were going. I used scraps from the Love Is Kind Main 6x9 Paper Pack to back my photo and I placed some pieces of the frames from the Friendship Frames Diecuts around my page. I pulled my title from the Just Peachy Word Titles Diecuts .

I focused my embellishing on the gorgeous florals from the Just For You Flowers Diecuts . I added some word flags and hexagons from the Wildflowers collection and finished with the little bees.

Summer is a Feeling Challenge

Hi, friends! Today I am sharing my inspiration layout for the new September Challenge called Summer is a Feeling. We are to create a layout that captures what summer felt like, rather than simply documenting what you did! This was such a fun challenge and I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with! For my layout I started with the gorgeous Summer Garden paper . It was the perfect backdrop for this photo because it matched the feel of my granddaughter's bathing suit (not that I ever need a reason to use a gorgeous floral lol)! I stitched a cutfile for the top half of my layout inked around the edges of the white paper and used a scrap of the Pick up Sticks paper I had used on an earlier layout to tuck just underneath that to create a little shelf for my photo and title. Under that striped paper I added a die cut border to add that peach pink color, it finished off that area so nicely. The title was from the Just Peachy Word Titles . I added the word Summer (from an older collection) to Vacation Mode to complete the title I was going for. Tucked in under the title is a large floral cluster from the Apple Blossom Floral pack . I then added a sticker from the Apple Blossom Sticker sheet just above the title. I like how it fit nicely and sort of highlighted the rounded area of the sun. I tucked a single daisy on the photo by the title and three single flowers from the die cut pack Fruit Salad (they are popped up on foam tape of different heights). I added my journaling following the arch of the sun rays and then as finishing touches I popped a few sequins and three die cut hearts from the Light Hearted pack .

Love is Kind Collection & September Sketch Challenge

Hello and Happy Monday to all my Pretty Little Studio Friends! Misty @Mommyofkidz here with you today sharing a new layout based on the new September Sketch! I used the Love is Kind Collection for this one because I just adore the soft colors, especially for this particular subject that I am scrapping about. I used bits and pieces from several different packages from this collection, beginning with the base page coming from the 12x12 Double Sided Pack . I love the ledger look as a base...and If I decide that I want to write on it, then the lines are aIready there! I used the Love is Kind Clear Pack paired with the Vellum Pack to create the Shaker Hexagon shape at the bottom of the photo. I think it was a perfect addition.

If you look real close, you will see another addition I snuck in there. Do you see it? I used the Sewn with Love Clear Stickers to add the look of texture in a few places, including the top and bottom of the photo. The You and Me Word Stickers also made an appearance in this layout! I have scattered a few of my favorite ones around the photo. Making suer they matched was easy. Making sure they looked good where I wanted to put them was a bit more challenging.

I have three or four groupings, which I clustered in with other grouping that already existed. The sticker strips are so very tiny and they can get lost in a design if you place them in the wrong place...they run the risk of not being seen at all. I did not want that!! I hope I found all the right spaces and all the best places to insert my tiny stickers! LOL Peep the one that says Puppy Love where my Grand Dog is looking at the ultrasound pic...I just couldn't resist that one!

Sink or Swim Waterslide Adventure

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends! I’m so happy to be back sharing another layout using the bright and cheerful You Are My Sunshine collection! This page features three photos of my daughter, Hailey, coming down the waterslide at camp. I love using a series of photos for moments like this because they capture the action from beginning to end—and judging by Hailey’s expressions, this was definitely an adventure!

I started with the Under the Sun patterned paper from the You Are My Sunshine 12x12 Mixed Paper Pack for my background. I absolutely love papers like this because they make it look like I spent tons of time adding different layers, patterns, stitching and mixed media when it’s actually all part of the pre-printed design. It almost feels like cheating because so much of the work is already done for you!

I matted each of my three photos with a different patterned paper from the 6x9 Mixed Paper Pack , choosing colors that coordinate with the sections of the background where each photo sits. I arranged the photos vertically down the page to capture the progression of Hailey’s trip down the waterslide, from coming out of the slide to making a big splash at the bottom.

One of my favorite ways to work with a colorful background like this is to color block my embellishments . I matched the embellishments to the different colored areas already printed on the paper, moving from the pinks and oranges at the top through the yellows and greens and finally into the aquas and navy at the bottom. It lets me add lots of little details while still keeping everything cohesive.

I used pieces from the 100% Sunshine Word Shape Die Cuts , Very Sweet Color Word Stickers , tabs from the Lemonade Mix Die Cuts and stickers from the Chasing Summer Award Sticker Pack throughout those color sections. I also added coordinating stars from the Under the Stars Die Cuts and several Sunny Stitches Clear Stickers to fill in some of the smaller spaces and continue the tone-on-tone effect .

For my title, I chose “Sink or Swim” from the Just Peachy Word Titles Die Cuts . It couldn’t have been more perfect for these photos! I placed it right in the middle of the design where the colors transition, along with a few additional summer words and phrases that help tell the story.

I love how this page came together! The background gave me an amazing head start, and adding all of those color-coordinated embellishments made it even more fun without covering up the details that were already there. Most importantly, I love that the three photos capture Hailey’s waterslide adventure from start to finish.

Hi Pretty Little Studio friends it's Kim and I'm back today with a layout using an older collection called Chasing The Sun. It was just the perfect collection to document this photo of my granddaughter. A newer collection with similar colors Sunkissed is still available in the shop.

I started with plain white cardstock and used papers from the 8x8 paper pack. I cut out strips and then, I stacked them. I used patterned letters to spell my title.

I mainly used florals to embellish my page. I love the tropical vibe of the flowers in this collection. I finished my page by adding some word flags and a few diecuts.

Friends are Family You Choose | Love Is Kind | September Scraplift Challenge

Hello to all of my fellow Pretty Little Studio creators! This month I had so much fun scraplifting Evelyne Schmidtke's recent PLS layout!

I used the Love Is Kind collection.

Here's the fabulous inspiration from Evelyne!

One of my favorite papers from the Love Is Kind collection is the gorgeous yellow butterfly " Never Change ." I loved all of the fun moments in Evelyne's background, so I dug through my stamp stash, and I started adding some black, blue, yellow and peach stamping to match the colors I knew I would be using in my layout. Even in "random" scatters of stamping, the human eye loves to see some patterns. I accomplish this by grouping my stamping together in clusters. I added blue butterflies from the Two of a Kind pack to coordinate with the blues in my photo, and I used peach cutouts from the You & Me Word Flags to coordinate with my chosen title. My absolute favorite stitches stickers Sewn with Love made the perfect accent for under the phrases.

Here's another one of the clusters. I try to always work in groups of three elements, and I keep triangle designs in mind.

The title "Friends Are Family You Choose" from the Friends Forever word titles pack was perfect for this photo of my daughter with her best friend. I didn't want the title just floating around my page, so I added one of the large banners from the Be Mine banners pack to anchor it. You absolutely cannot beat the price of $1 for the Share the Love cut-aparts patchwork heart above my title. I'm always happy to invest a few minutes with my scissors to get so many perfect embellishments!

On the side of my photo, I used two of the borders from the Side By Side scallops pack, and underneath my picture a label from the Be Mine pack made the perfect foundation.

Here's the final project one more time. I love the bright, happy colors and all of the elements celebrating friendship the Love Is Kind collection brings!

Sweater Weather Memories|Wildflowers|September Scraplift Challenge

Hello my scrappy friends! Today, I am sharing my layout that I created using the September Scraplift Challenge for the September Scraplift Challenge over on the Pretty Little Studio Fans Facebook Group ! For September, we are scraplifting Evelyne's beautiful layout, which I will share at the bottom of the layout!! I started out with the Fragrance patterned paper for my background! This is such a favorite patterned paper of mine, which is why I had four sheets of it in my stash! It has lots of pre-made mixed media and wonderful definitions on it as text! I grabbed the wreath that I got in a recent Grab Bag purchase on the Pretty Little Studio site and tucked it into the top left corner of my 4x4" photo that matted to look like a polaroid frame. I also pulled some titles from the Ginger Snap collection that I thought went perfectly with my photo of my granddaughter at the St. Louis Zoo, plus the word "Adventure" from the Spring Mix Stickers . I layered those on the photo and around the photo in a similar fashion the Evelyne's original layout. Next, I grabbed a piece of the flair from the Flopsey Flair package. To finish off my layout, I added some die cut flowers from the Wildflower Stems die cut pack . The last thing that I added was a purple label from the Be Jolly labels in Candy Cane! Evelyne's layout was so easy to scraplift! I hope you'll give it a try as well! There are albums in the Facebook group where you can share your own version!

Sketch Inspired Fall Layout with Ginger Snap

Hello Pretty Little Studio Fans! Suzanna here today to share with you a Fall (or Autumn) sketch inspired layout created using the Ginger Snap collection. Here's the September sketch challenge sketch;

And here is my sketch inspired layout;

The Ginger Snap collection has pre cut hexagons available as part of the collection, you can find them in the Birdseed Shapes. I opted to cut my own with a die from my stash and patterned paper from the Accent 6x6 paper pack. As I had a 4x6 photo, I wanted larger hexagons to maintain proportion sizes with the photo.

I also opted to use more hexagons than the sketch called for. I tend to be a clean and simple scrapper but the sketch was a tad too simple for me.

Again, I used more hexagons to the bottom/right of the photo than the sketch called for. The beauty of sketches is that they are a suggestion, you can take all the liberties you want with your creation.

I DID use the butterflies that are flitting through out the sketch. But I did go a tad sparser with them. I also used a little bit of mist splashed here and there to add to the Fall grunge feel. I even broke out the Heidi Swapp ColorShine! Anybody else been around long enough to remember what I'm talking about? I just looked at the bottle and it has a 2003 year on it!

And, journaling. The sketch doesn't have a location for that so I just plopped it where I felt it fit and didn't ruin the design. Make sure you are telling your stories! I love the creativity and art of memorykeeping but I do it for the stories. I did toy with using a tag that slides in and out from behind the photo but there just wasn't interactive space.

Chasing Summer with the Sunkissed collection and the September sketch of the month

Hey Scrappy Friends! MandaJane with you today. I have a layout for you today, made with the Sunkissed collection. I know that this is technically a spring collection, but it was perfect to document our summer family vacation photo at the Track in Destin , FL.

This photo is a throwback to 10-12 years ago when the kids were still small enough to spend a fun afternoon at the theme park.

And this rainbow sunburst is such a great background for our photo!

Splash Party

There’s still time to splash into summer, and this card is all about making the most of those last few weeks of sunshine before we welcome fall and Halloween!

For this card, we're highlighting the You Are My Sunshine Collection, and the Orange Crush background paper immediately became my favorite part of the design. With its mix of orange, aqua, cream, and painterly details, it almost looks like a watercolor painting inspired by summer. The bright sunshine colors paired with the cool blue waves create the perfect balance of warm and refreshing, making it feel like a sunny day at the pool or beach.

To create the layered focal point, I combined several of the You Are My Sunshine word die cuts, stacking and overlapping them to build dimension and make the sentiment really stand out. The large splash element brings in that playful water theme, while “PARTY!” adds a bright pop of energy. Together, they create the perfect Splash Party invitation to celebrate summer just a little longer.

And because it’s Summerween, s unshine and swimming with pumpkins and ghosts fit perfectly with the orange, aqua and pink color scheme.

Summerween is the perfect excuse to keep the summer party going while getting ready for Halloween. So grab your favorite summer colors, add a little spooky magic, and splash into these last few weeks of summer with a party-worthy card.

6x8 Christmas album layout - Candy Cane

Hi, friends! I have a 6x8 layout to share today that I created for my Christmas album. This is an album I create to display at Christmas every year. I use 6x8 albums and add several years in each. I have 3 volumes so far going back to 2017 but would like to eventually go back to our earlier years too!

I used the adorable Candy Cane collection for this one. I started with the Gingerbread House patterned paper that I had already cut into on a previous layout. There was a little tear in it but I was determined to use it. I was able to cover the tear with a tag from the diecut tags and I also layered a little cut apart tag with it. I love when I can have elements hang off the edge of a page in these smaller format books!! I layered my photos and title in line with the tags and popped a cute heart punch out diecut over both the photo and tag. I used a few sweet candy die cuts and a word tag to embellish the top of the photos.

At the bottom of the layout I used a journaling card (which are double sided by the way and so cute to use on a flip up or in a pocket card!). I added a couple more diecuts from the same pack that I linked above and a little scalloped border sticker to bring some more pink to the bottom of the layout. I really like how this turned out! Good Times- Love is Kind

Hi there! Lisa here today to share a layout I created with the collection dear to my heart, Love is Kind, along with some vintage Pretty Little Studio products. Maybe you've been a PLS fan for years like me and have a stash of these sweet vintage die cuts or the fun bingo cards. This bingo card was from an old and now retired birthday collection but if you like the look of bingo cards just search that on the PLS shop and you'll find lots of themes still available!

I loved this background paper, "way we were" because of the hexagon in the background. I decided to use it for my journaling and I love the detail it added. The vintage die cut of the girl is from the Happy Birthday die cut pack , isn't she sweet? I think the layout is pretty straightforward, I used a scrap of ledger paper for the background of my photos and just tucked lots of florals and other die cuts into the layout. Hello, Pretty Little Studio friends! I'm excited to be on the blog today to share my latest scrapbook layout, Little Bookworm. My grandson, Hayes, loves books. I have been buying books for him since he was born, and I would say books are his favorite gift. The PLS collection, Well Read, was ideal for capturing these memories. I love that the color scheme and patterns work well for kids and adults, whether male or female.

I began my layout by cutting a piece of white 12" x 12" cardstock to 11 3/4" x 11 3/4" and backing it with a piece of 12" x 12" cardstock. Next, I chose my favorite paper, "Books are Magic", cut an 8" x 8" circle with my die-cut machine, and adhered it to the right-center page. I then cut 2 strips of paper, one measuring 11 3/4" x 5" from "Happy Place", and another measuring 11 3/4" x 4" from "The End", and adhered them horizontally across the page. I chose a fun cutfile online that paired nicely with the collection, and backed it with paper pieces from "Book Fair". I found a piece of blue zigzag trim in my collection that made the layout feel more "little boy" to me and added texture. I adhered the trim below the paper strips and secured it with staples at each end. Lastly, I added great diecuts, stickers, and a journaling block from the collection. I'm really happy with the final layout.

Smile - Wildflowers Collection

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends!

Shanel (@Shanel_craftwithme) here today sharing a new project with one of my favorite Pretty Little Studio collections - Wildflowers.

Some photos instantly make me smile, and this sweet photo of my son and his gf was the perfect choice for this layout. I wanted the page to feel happy and playful so I built the design around colorful hearts, soft lavender tones, and layers of patterned paper from the Wildflowers collection. One of our design challenges this month is adding texture to the page. I scored each strip, slightly bending up the edges to add texture and dimension and then arranged them horizontally across the page using a mix of colors and patterns from the collection. The repeated lines create a subtle backdrop while still letting the bold colors and delicate patterns shine!

For a playful touch, I added a cascade of hearts along one side of the page, fussy cut from 12x12 Clover and 12x12 Clover Patch patterned papers. The colors and varied patterns of the hearts included on this patterned paper are AMAZING! I mixed patterned paper hearts and sticker hearts from the Wildflowers Spring Mix pack in different sizes and slightly varied their placement to create the feeling that they were falling down the page. I wanted to keep the photo area relatively clean so the layout wouldn't feel too busy. Using white card stock (slightly distressed on the edges) and a Die Cut Bracket from the Wildflowers Gentle Breeze pack to back the photo, it stands out but doesnt compete with the design.

Lastly, to create even more texture and guide the eye across the page, I added stitching trails for the beautiful butterflies, die cut from the beautiful Wildflowers Fragrance patterned paper. They add a soft touch and bit of whimsy. The “Smile” title (SunKissed Collection) atop some cute stickers from Wildflowers Spring Mix sticker pack was the perfect finishing touch! It’s the perfect reminder that sometimes the simplest moments—and the people who make us smile—are the memories worth documenting.

The combination of scored paper strips, colorful patterns, and cascading hearts gives this page lots of texture while keeping the overall design simple, playful and full of color! Capture / Large Photo Fall Layout with Ginger Snap

Hello Pretty Little Studio Fans! Suzanna here today to share with you a Fall (or Autumn) layout created using the Ginger Snap collection. Fall is my absolute favorite season so any opportunity I can get to document it, I'll take. With kids going back to school here in the northern hemisphere, it means Fall is around the corner - not much longer now!

I strayed from my "norm" of a white cardstock background and used one of the ledger papers as the background upon which I built the remainder of the layout.

The top portion of the layout is a large photo; we were at a Virginia Tech football game. There's nothing more classically American and Fall than a football game. I didn't grow up with football so while I STILL don't understand the game, I went for the Metallica Enter Sandman VT team entrance and the people watching. It was a beautiful day and the watching was good. The way the banner duplicates the arc of the stadium seats is subtle detail that I love. Note the popped up heart for some dimension and the small strip of scallop sticker that are little details.

Moving down and across the layout one sees another cluster. The banner was low effort on my part with little work necessary with the faux stitching and built in embellishments. This cluster required more work. Lots of bits layered here; die cut label, a popped up big word phrase, little word phrases, an acorn die cut and a tab. Clusters are easy to create with such bountiful embellishments to choose from!

The bottom, left of the page is the third and final cluster; more the home of additional, smaller support photos and the title. While I could have created my own title, the Pumpkin Spice Word Titles are chock full of great titles so I went the easy route and used one of those. A tag, zig zag border sticker, and die cut Oak leaf just add a fun touch to finish things off.

Sunkissed Collection and August Texture Challenge

After using a template to add the black dots, I layered in the strips. I chose the Aqua, Orange, Pink combination to help keep it a little more subdued. I used a few pieces of matching flair along with bits and pieces of ephemera from various die-cut packs. I mostly wanted to add a bit more texture to the page, to try to meet the August Texture Challenge!! But don't those butterflies look fabulous next to the photo of my daughter and her crazy friends!!

I knew that the black and white photos were the way to go...because again...too much is jut too much.

I removed the vibrant colors of their clothing so that the photos didn't blend with the background...I wanted them to STAND OUT. They are worth seeing! And I added in more texture with the flair and twine and paper strips. I love how it all turned out!

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Misty @Mommyofkidz here with you today sharing a quick layout that I did featuring the Sunkissed collection ! I have tons of this collection, but for some reason, I have not used very much of it. I pulled it out last week and I wondered WHY NOT!??? This collection is gorgeous!! Well, I know why not...it is because I have a habit of using only what is in front of me...and this collection was put away. It sat nicely in its little cubby, untouched, uncut. Well...after this layout, it is definitely cut into!! HA HA!! I had the entire 12x12 Single Sided Collection ...and each page is prettier than the last!
For this layout, I wanted a fun vibrant background, but not too much. SO, I started with a solid white cardstock and used a template to add the black dots. I had fussy cut all the strips out of the Paint Color 12x12 page, but ended up only using three of them. That left some for another layout...maybe even for a 2 pager!

Salty Air

Hi Pretty Little Studio friends, it's Kim and I'm back with a fun summer layout using the fabulous Hey Summer collection. It's the perfect collection for this photo of my granddaughter at the beach.

I started with white cardstock and added some splatters. I cut papers from the Hey Summer 6x9 Paper Pack to make a bit of a grid design. I pulled my title from the Salt Air Word Diecuts .

I had a lot of fun embellishing this page! I used a lot of the fun Beach Bits Diecuts and the Shore Line Diecuts . Next, I added a few word flags and some labels from the Blue Skies Diecuts and then, I finished with some enamel dots from my stash.

BLOOM - Where you are planted

For this month’s sketch, I wanted to create a layout that felt as sunny and full of life as the photo itself. I used the **Sunkissed** collection as my starting point, adding lots of yellow, green and botanical details to echo the beautiful vegetation in my photo.

The picture was taken on the little walkway that leads to my favourite beach. The conditions here can be quite challenging for plants — plenty of sun, heat, wind and salt in the air — yet there is always something growing along the path. I loved the idea of celebrating that resilience with the title **“bloom where you are planted.”** It felt like the perfect message for this little piece of paradise.

I also wanted to make the sketch work for me rather than simply reproduce it. For the diamond background, I took a little creative shortcut and printed a patterned paper from the **You Are My Sunshine** collection. If you haven't explored the printable designs in the Pretty Little Studio shop yet, they are such a great option when you have a favourite paper or embellishment and don't want to worry about running out. They are especially handy for those of us living outside the US, where ordering physical supplies can mean waiting for international shipping.

I carried the diamond shape through the layout again in th e date and journaling details, while the flowers, butterflies and greenery help frame the photo and bring the feeling of the beach walkway onto the page. I love how the different layers create a little garden around the photograph without taking away from the story.

For me, this layout is really about finding beauty in unexpected places — and remembering that sometimes, the most beautiful things are the ones that simply keep growing where they are planted.

Add Water for Some Extra Fun!

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends! I’m so happy to be back sharing another layout using the bright and cheerful You Are My Sunshine collection! This page features three photos of my daughter, Hailey, splashing and playing in the pool. Her big smiles and wet hair tell the story perfectly, and the playful colors and summertime elements in this collection were such a fun match for these photos.

I started with the Fly a Kite paper from the You Are My Sunshine 12x12 Mixed Paper Pack for my background. I absolutely love the grid design and all of the details already printed on this paper. It looks like you spent time adding mixed media, stitching and little embellishments around the page when all of that work is already done for you! It gave me a fun, detailed background while still leaving plenty of room to build my design.

I chose three photos from our pool day, all printed with a white border to help them stand out from the colorful patterns. I arranged them together near the center of the page, overlapping them slightly to create one large focal point. Behind and around the photos, I layered several of the colorful Frisbee Frames Die Cuts . I love how the open frames allow the grid background to show through while adding lots of color, pattern and dimension.

Because there was already so much going on with the background, I didn’t want to cover it up with a traditional journaling block. Instead, I printed my journaling onto clear sticker paper and added it directly to the background. I love how this allowed me to include the story while letting the grid and all of those fun printed details remain visible underneath.

I also tucked pieces from the Lemonade Mixed Die Cuts around my photos and layered in additional patterns from the You Are My Sunshine 6x9 Accent Paper Pack . The combination of reds, oranges, yellows, greens and blues works perfectly with the bright colors in Hailey’s swimsuit and pool toys.

For my title, I used the “Add Water” piece from the Just Peachy Word Title Die Cuts . I love the bold navy lettering against all of the softer colors on the page, and the phrase couldn’t have been more perfect for these photos! I also added the smaller “summer” and “splash” words around the photos to continue the fun pool-day theme.

To finish the layout, I added several Sunny Stitches Clear Stickers throughout the page. The little hearts and other colorful details were perfect for filling in a few spaces and adding another layer of interest without covering up all of those wonderful details already printed on the background.

I love how this page came together! The playful frames, bright colors and fun little details of the You Are My Sunshine collection capture the carefree feeling of a summer afternoon spent splashing in the pool.

OH SO PRETTY - Love is Kind

Hi Friends! I have a super easy (so easy it feels like cheating LOL) layout using the Love is Kind collection to share today.

I started by using this GORGEOUS wreath paper . It is so hard to cover any of it up!! I knew I wanted the photo of my granddaughter painting her nails to be tucked under the wreath so I cut a slit around the circle using an exacto knife so the photo could slide in. I then popped up my other photo and layered it over the photo and the right side of the wreath. I used very minimal embellishing: a few florals and hearts for added dimension; a few clear sticker phrases layered right over the background paper; and my title using abc stickers and sticker stitches and popped up on the back side of the branding strip!

Mixing the You Are My Sunshine and Sunkissed Collections!!!

Hello Scrappy Friends! This is Tara and I am sharing a layout that I created with a mix of two collections: Sunkissed and You Are My Sunshine. I leaned more heavily on Sunkissed for this one and also used up some scraps from a previous layout! I hang onto my scraps and keep them with the collection until I run out of patterned paper!! That way whenever I am creating something new and need a little something-something, I can dig through the scraps I've created in the past!!

For this layout, I pulled a piece of patterned paper from You Are My Sunshine from the Sunshine Mixed Paper Pack-Double Sided for my background. I loved the pop of coral on the right hand side of the ledger. From there, using my nesting triangle dies, I cut out 34 triangles from the scraps and a piece of acetate from the Sunkissed collection. I couldn't find the acetate in the shop but it looks like the patterned paper from this pack . I pieced those triangles together like a quilt top along the left hand side of the background paper. I anchored the triangles with a scalloped border from the Sunkissed The Scent of Spring Scallop Border Die Cuts on the top and bottom.

I matted my three photos with a scrap of plain black cardstock. My photos are 3x4 plus two 2x3 of my granddaughter with her little friend on a playdate in the summer of 2018. I placed my three photos on the triangle design, but offset so as not to cover up that fun border! I almost always add my titles and journal spots immediately after putting my photos down, otherwise I don't always remember to make room for them! I used two titles from the Sunkissed Fun In The Sun Word Titles pack. I love labels for journaling and I chose two from the Sunkissed Sunbeam labels pack . After I got those where I wanted them on my layout, I layered up some small flowers from the Sunkissed Daisies Mini Die Cuts pack . I also added a wordy bit from the You Are My Sunshine Chill Out Word Cut Aparts . My final touch was to add the coral flair from the Sunkissed Flair-these don't appear to be in the shop any longer but here's your "permission" to use those if you do have them in your Pretty Little Studio stash!!!

Vacation Mode

Hey, y'all! It's Jinny here today; and while I'm anxiously anticipating the arrival of the new fall collection, I've put together a page inspired by a menagerie of Pretty Little Studio collections. I've been designing with all of these fabulous goodies now for over a decade, so you'll have no reason to challenge the fact that this layout uses FOURTEEN of those collections. Yes, I said 14! Many of them are no longer available, so I won't be able to link them to current products in the shop; but I'll still put them in italics and hope that they challenge you to use up your own PLS stash and/or simply inspire a design you can call your own. Without further adieu...

I started this page by splattering the Indian Summer: Blueberry Muffin 12x12 background page with Anita's Vivid Pink and Sunshine Yellow acrylic paints, as well as FolkArt Dutch Aqua, Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints. I love the way acrylics set on the surface of printed papers, rather than sinking into the fibers! That set the stage for my photos, which were cut in the shape of circles, matted with white cardstock, and arranged around the tall Indian Summer: Magic Days Journaling Card , which houses all of my journaling, including a number of die cuts, phrase cut-aparts, ephemera, and stickers.

Beginning in color blocks of two and moving from top to bottom, I've added a Love Is Kind: Timeless Tape Piece Sticker ; Sunkissed: Iced Tea Words Die-Cut "ROAD TRIP"; Indian Summer: Goodbye Summer Die-Cut "THE GOOD LIFE" and "2015" flag; "you are my favorite" Beautiful Day: A Great Day Flag Sticker , some of which were popped up with foam tape; and Summer Vibes: All Day Every Day Flair Button .

Continuing downward and along with my own handwritten journaling, I added a Sunkissed: Ducks in a Row Die-Cut heart; "happy day" Sunny Memories: Maybe Later Circle Sticker ; and Indian Summer: Goodbye Summer Die-Cut "our tribe", all popped up with foam tape, as well as a "Smile" Here Comes the Sun: Think Positive White Sticker ; "travel often" Bohemian Dreams: Good Things Black Word Sticker ; and "Sunshine mixed with a little hurricane" You Are My Sunshine: Sunny Day Quote Sticker .

The last set of two color blocks simply houses lots of journaling, an Indian Summer: Goodbye Summer Die-Cut pendant, and a "dreamy" Fun in the Sun: Summer White Word Sticker .

I then sandwiched that large journaling card between a heap of goodies tucked under its top right and bottom left edges. In the top right, above my photo, you'll find a Love Is Kind: Kindness Journaling Card ; a couple of additional Indian Summer: Magic Days Journaling Cards , one of which I cut down, around the "HAPPY IS WHERE YOU ARE" phrase, just to get rid of a little extra blank space; "OCTOBER" Sunny Memories: Get Tabbed Die Cut ; Love Is Kind: Love Is Kind Ephemera Tag , laced with white string, tied in a bow; and a Sunkissed: Summer Loving Shipping Tag , laced with white string. All of those fabulous goodies were topped with a couple of additional Indian Summer: Goodbye Summer Cut-Apart phrases, one of which was popped up with foam tape.

Moving over to the left side of that large, center journaling card, below my photos, you'll find a Christmas Joy: Dear Santa Bookmark Banner Card ; Love Is Kind: Kindness Journaling Card ; Love Is Kind: Love Is Kind Die-Cut Tag , laced with white string, tied in a bow; Indian Summer: Goodbye Summer Die-Cut tab; and October 2019 Freebie "love moments like these" circle, topped with a Holly Jolly: Jolly White Acrylic arrow and Let's Go: Number Tags moon, popped up with foam tape.

A handful of trailing Indian Summer: Leaves Vellum Die Cuts ...

brings us to the "VACATION mode" You Are My Sunshine: Just Peachy Word Title , which was popped up with foam tape and topped with a "dreaming" Tales & Dreams: Daily Dreams Die-Cut Word to complete the look.

Super Sweet Sugar Plum Collection...

Hello and Happy Monday all of my Pretty Little Studio Friends! Misty @Mommyofkidz here with you today. I am sharing my newest layout with you using the super sweet Sugar Plum Collection ...and YES! It is a Christmas Collection! I have focused on the pinks and reds in the rainbow and pulled out tiny bits of the green to create a NON Christmas layout.

This photo is from their maternity photo shoot that these two did to mark the half way point of Emily's pregnancy she's going to have my very first grand daughter! OF COURSE I had to use pink, right?? Look at her tiny belly!! Can you believe that she is TWENTY weeks here? Their little "Sugar Plum Princess" is expected on December 23rd...so you can BET I will be using this collection again! HA!

I LOVE all that PINK in the layout!! I borrowed some of the pink clouds from my package of In The Clouds Die Cuts from the Sunkissed collection . Ok Ok...so I took ALL of the pink clouds from two packages of those die cuts that I had on hand...but who's counting? HA HA! I popped some clouds up with foam tape and added ribbons to a few others. To top off the cloud cluster, I added a few tiny acrylic hearts that I had in my stash...and it was perfect! OH!! And I can't forget the Stitches in Time clear stickers that I placed around the perimeter of the photo!

Splish Splash Summer with the You Are My Sunshine collection

Hey Scrappy Friends! MandaJane with you today. I have a layout for you today, made with the You Are My Sunshine Collection. Am I allowed to say that this is my absolute favorite Pretty Little Studio collection? Because this collection is so colorful and happy. It just feels like ME! And that will always make me want to create.

Like I was telling you in my last blog post, we recently went up to Tennessee to have vacation with family. One of the things we did was swim in Aunt Betty's pool several afternoons to try to combat some of that heat!

These are some of the photos from our swimming pool afternoons!

Here are some of my favorite supplies that I used on my layout.

These title words are my favorite, and this is the 2nd pack of them that I have owned! I think I could use them on every layout that I make. This pack is full of all the summer themed titles you could possibly need.

Sunshine & Summer Adventures with Pretty Little Studio

There’s something about bright sunshine, cheerful colors, and adorable woodland friends that instantly makes you smile! Today's card celebrates everything we love about summer while showcasing the beautiful You Are My Sunshine Collection from Pretty Little Studio.

This fresh yellow and blue color combination is everything we love about cardmaking. The sunny yellow accents paired with soft aqua and sky blue papers create a light, happy palette that perfectly captures the feeling of warm summer days. I love building scenes with patterned paper, and the cloud paper from the collection adds so much subtle detail to the background. Howdy all my Pretty Little Studio Friends! And Happy Wednesday to you! Misty @mommyofkidz here with you today sharing my take on the August Scraplift challenge! I had the pleasure of lifting my own layout!!! And of course I could not do the exact same thing right??? Well...let's just say that I tried really hard to do it differently while maintaining the integrity...but I absolutely LOVE the Comfort & Joy Collection ...and I could not resist the urge to use it again!

I started with my 12x12 collection pack and started sorting through...finding the pages and patterns that I would want to use for my layout.I landed on the pale pinks, mint greens, and go course, black. I do keep my scraps together, so I had plenty of those to choose from also!

Once all of my background was covered in my paper strips, I began decorating. I didn't think I needed a lot since there was already so much going on with the background. I simply dumped out my Filled With Love Heart Die Cuts and sorted through for pink, black, and green ones to match. I did choose to have the strips going vertical instead of horizontal...but I did stay pretty tru to the original layout. **Scroll to the bottom to see my original**

Scraplift Challenge - Love is Kind

Hi Friends! Today I decided to play along with the August Scraplift Challenge just for fun! You will be able to play along with this and the other August challenges for a chance to win the monthly prize! All of the information is on the Facebook group linked above. This gorgeous layout was created by designer, Misty Foresman.

For my layout, I am using the Love is Kind collection. I started with the Side by Side Ledger paper as my background. I chose several papers that I had previously cut into for other layouts including Little Moments , Sugar Coated , Best Friends , You're a Peach , Cherry on Top and Fruitylicious (which I fussy cut). I used tore strips of these and used them to layer down the left side of the layout just as Misty had done on her layout. I also tucked some Timeless Tape Pieces stickers into the layers. I added some sticker stitches in black and colors .

When my background was down I added my title (which I cut from the Best Friends paper and some black paper on my cricut). I also used mini abc's in mint and teal and in daffodil to complete my title. I tucked a little die cut banner under the word BEE. The bees I added were from the You are my Sunshine collection.

After I added my photos I finished up with several cute little flowers from the Forget Me Not diecut pack. This came together fairly quickly and I am really glad to have these sweet photos in my granddaughter's album! She just turned 3 and I have so many fun layouts still to create!

Hi Pretty Little Studio friends, it's Kim and I'm back today with a layout using the fun Hey Summer collection. The yellows and tans in the collection were perfect for this photo of my granddaughter.

I backed my photo with scraps from the Ginger Snap Plaid 6x9 Paper Pack and added labels from the Summer Labels Diecuts . My title is from the Salt Air Word Diecuts .

I focused on the gorgeous florals to embellish my page and used the Summer Blooms Diecuts . I added a few pieces from the Beach Bits Diecuts and a few hearts from the Summer Essentials Diecuts to finish.

Well Read Memorydex Cards

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends! It's Monique here today and I'm sharing two Memorydex cards created with the "Well Read" collection. I love reading and everything connected with books. My hobby is not only reading, but also collecting books, working in my reading journal, updating my GoodReads account (I'm busy putting my library in there so I know which books I can safely buy and which ones are already on my shelves), hanging out in the library and various book stores and visiting book markets. I would love to go on a book retreat one day, but that's one for the bucket list. Here's what I made for today's blogpost:

Memorydex cards are so fun to make! I have a couple of Memorydex card dies and I used two different ones to cut the base for these two cards. Next I just added lots of die-cuts and stickers and machine stitched on them.

Aren't they super cute?! On the back of the cards and adhered two small photos on each one of them. My daughter is 7 months pregnant with our first grandchild (a boy!) and for Father's Day she gave my husband a children's book titled "The storybook for the sweetest grandpa". He was so happy with it! So I had to put those photos on one of the cards. On the other card I put photos of the book I read during our vacation in France last month: The Frozen People. Really loved this book!

A Sunkissed Day

Hi crafty friends!

Shanel here with the Pretty Little Studio Design Team. Today I'm sharing a bright, colorful and happy summer layout featuring the beautiful SunKissed Collection . I absolutely love the joyful colors and patterns in this fabulous collection. On any project, it brings all the summer vibes!

I started with the SunKissed Paper Plates patterned paper as my background - a white lined background with soft mixed media details. I created a simple and colorful design using 1/4" to 1/2" strips in purple, turquoise, green, yellow, orange, and pink cut from the Sidewalk Art patterned paper. Arranging the strips vertically across the page added lots of color and movement while still allowing the white background to keep everything feeling fresh. The soft mixed media touches on this patterned paper make it perfect for using a fresh, clean background with touches of pretty subtle color.

Once my design was finished, I layered my beach photo with papers and embellishments from the SunKissed collection using fun die cuts from Sunshine Mix and cute labels from Feel the Sun and Sunbeam Label Die Cuts - layering them to add dimension while keeping the design balanced. I tucked in die cut words from June Word Cut-Aparts around the design without covering the colorful strips, then finished the layout with the "Fun in the Sun" title, a hand-stitched heart, and a few more colorful hearts scattered across the page.

This design is a fun way to use lots of color to bring the page to life in a vibrant way while keeping the focus on a favorite summer memory! I’ve linked some of the products below that I used in my layout. I hope this layout inspires you to pull out your Pretty Little Studio Sunkissed Collection and create something bright and happy!

Texture Challenge - You are My Sunshine

Hi Friends! Today I have a layout for the August Texture Challenge. You will be able to play along with this and the other August challenges for a chance to win the monthly prize! All of the information is on the Facebook group linked above. I can't wait to see how you will add texture to your layouts!

For my layout, I started with a plain white, heavy weight cardstock. I added some mixed media to the background using a few different techniques (you can watch the video linked before if you are interested in seeing that process). The first step in creating lots of texture is using different mediums and adding layers! I used scraps of these papers to create lots of circles (to mimic bubbles) City Life , Out of the Blue , three different scraps from the 6x9 pack and a scrap from the vellum pack . I used three round labels to continue with the circle theme. I also stitched two circle in coordinating thread (more texture!)

To embellish I used lots of diecuts from the Lemonade Mix , a border from Snowcone Borders , a quote from Enjoy the Season tags (Gingersnap collection) and to complete the Happy Summer Adventure title cut aparts from Sandcastle Cut Aparts . I also added our giant bubble ingredients by using a sticker from Splish Splash Words and alpahs Sunshine and Blue Moon . To add additional texture I added foam tape of differing heights behind some of these elements.

Wintery Wishes on a Hot, Summer Day / Frosty and Friends Collection

Hello Scrappy Friends! Tara here with a layout using Frosty and Friends. I don't know about you, but I am struggling a little bit with the high temps we've had so far this summer. I just moved from a dry climate to a humid one and it's a struggle. It has me beginning to wish for cooler temperatures. I know...bite my tongue! It'll be here before we know it.

Today, I am playing with the August Sketch challenge and making it my own. For me, a sketch is a jumping off point and I like to change them up to suit my photos, stories and style. I started with plain, white cardstock and ran it through my electronic cutting machine to cut out three hexagons in different sizes. I added some mixed media to my white cardstock using the packaging technique. From there, I used patterned papers from Frosty and Friends to back those hexagons, popping up my background with foam tape. After that it was easy to add some embellishments from the collection. For my title, I used some tile letters from a collection that is no longer available, Grateful Heart, but I linked up a similar set from Frosty and Friends below.

Well Read - August Scraplift Challenge

Hello creative friends.

Shanel here to share my layout using the Pretty Little Studio Well Read collection. I created for the Pretty Little Studio Facebook group August Challenge. I love how Misty used simple paper strips in varying lengths to create a beautiful vertical design!

I cut my strips in wider widths continuing her design of varying lengths. A soft palette of blue, brown, and orange gives the page a feel that perfectly complements the story of my love of reading with a cozy feel!

Beginning with a white cardstock background, I chose a mix of soft blue, warm brown, and muted orange prints balancing smaller patterns with a few solids. Arranging the strips vertically along the left side of the page, I stitched down the center of the strips with coordinating thread. I thought this design element would mimic an open book with pages. I added labels and emphemra from this collection scattered across the strips, keeping them relatively flat so the stitched strips remain an important design feature.

To create balance against the vertical strip design, I placed my photo on the right side. When matting the photo, I cut the mat longer than necessary vertically (4x12) so that I could fold it over and score the crease, hiding journaling underneath. The photo lifts up and my recent reads are inside.

I love to visit my local library every week and find my next adventure! Saturday mornings you’ll always find me there cruising the shelves. As part of the journaling, I included some of my favorite books read this year and how I felt about them with a quick star rating. Oh and don't mind my "Saturday morning, library hair" in the photo :)

Somebunny Loves You

Oh the joy of welcoming a new baby!

Hello, PLS friends! I'm so excited to be featured on the blog today with my latest layout, Somebunny Loves You. In June, we welcomed our third grandson, Bo Winston, to the family. Big brother, Hayes, has become quite the baby expert in his short 3 years. We welcomed his little brother Davis in May 2025. I just love these photos of Hayes holding his new baby brother. I couldn't wait to create a scrapbook layout celebrating this brotherly love.

My layout design inspiration is Misty Foresman's August Scraplift Challenge layout. I was drawn to the paper strip design on the left of the page and the title on the right. I created my layout with the amazing Wildflowers collection.

I began my layout with a piece of white cardstock backed with lilac cardstock from my stash. I like to draw a border line around my white cardstock paper. I just purchased the Wildflower Ledger 12 x 12 Paper Pack , and I cut several different patterned papers into 1" strips. I love that the ledger paper came in not only white and off-white but also lilac. Next, I chose a coordinating patterned paper, Wild P o ppy , and cut 1 " strips. I then stacked those papers on the left of my page, alternating ledger and patterned paper. I next chose another patterned paper, Whimsical , and cut several strips of scallops to layer on top of the first strips. Tip : I only had one strip of purple plaid scallop, so I cut it into several small pieces to add around my photos. When looking at the layout, you would never know it was only one strip because it appears several times. The stitched lines on the strips are incorporated into the design. Isn't that fabulous! I placed my two photos on top of the strips and added some great embellishments from the New Season Tabs Cut-Aparts and Bunny Hop Die-cuts pack . To create the title, I used my Cricut Design Studio to cut Somebunny and the outline in lilac cardstock and ledger patterned paper. I placed Loves You below in ABC Tile Stickers in Purple Larkspur . I completed my layout by journaling on the tab and bunny balloon diecuts.

Hi Pretty Little Studio friends, it's Kim and I'm here today with the August sketch challenge. I created a bright happy summer layout using the fabulous Hey Summer collection.

I started by cutting out the hexagons from the Hey Summer 6x9 Paper Pack and then, backed my photo with scraps. I used some puffy alphas from my stash to create my title.

I had fun embellishing this page. I may have gone a bit overboard, but all the bits were so fun, I'm ok with it. I started with some Summer Labels Diecuts and Shine On Labels Cut-Aparts . Next I used a lot of the adorable Beach Bits Diecuts and finished with some hearts from the Summer Essentials Diecuts .

Sketch Challenge using Wildflowers Collection!

Hello Pretty Little Studio Friends! Misty @Mommyof kids here with you today sharing my take on the August Sketch Challenge! I am so excited that Melissa based this month's sketch on one of my layouts!
So, I stuck pretty close to the original design and I used Wildflowers on this layout. (obviously I loved the original design...I did it! HA HA!) Anyway, the only changes that I made were the size and orientation of the photo, and the placement of the title. Everything else matched up pretty well!
I used the Joy Die cuts for the title and for the "subtitles" only layout. The phrases put together with that title were perfection! Every moment matters!! Especially when you live 1300 miles apart like my husband and his 3 daughters. The distance and the time apart always makes him miss them so much...making their time together a treasure, and so much sweeter!
I have used the 12x12 Single Sided Wildflowers Paper Pack - specifically the Apple Blossom page. I also used a bit of the Wildflowers Digitals Collection to add a bit more pizzaz!
So, this is the original paper that I used on my original layout... I still had it and I used it again on this one! I used my craft knife to cut out a few more of the hexagons and then layered the remainder of the page onto a piece of solid white cardstock.

Once I had that base started, I began the details. The photo, the title, the extra hexagons, etc. I popped some up using foam tape and others I left flat. I think my favorite part was deciding to add stitching inside some of the empty spots! While I was only going to stitch inside a few, I couldn't stop myself, and before I knew it, I had stitched inside several using 3 different colors of thread. WHAT!?? That is sooo not me! I am a lazy scrapper...who have I become!? HA HA HA!!

I did't add any mixed media to this one...I felt there was enough color and texture. However, I did add a few tiny flowers and just a bit of ink to highlight the word strips. I also used a stitched hexagon diet to create my larger shapes. Not a lot of time, but a whole lot of color and love in this layout!! Sketch Challenge - Candy Cane Collection

Hi Friends! Today I have a layout for the August Sketch Challenge. You will be able to play along with this and the other August challenges for a chance to win the monthly prize! All of the information is on the Facebook group linked above. This lovely sketch was inspired by a layout from designer, Misty Foresman.

For my layout, I am using the Candy Cane collection. I started with the Wish List paper as my background. I chose the Holiday Tradition paper next and cut out several of the squares in a variety of colors and patterns. I stitched a simple running stitch in white thread around the edges not measuring my holes or being too particular. I just wanted some fun texture and extra interest. I popped up my squares in three areas similar to where the sketch used the hexagons. (my squares were bigger so I used less)

To embellish I used some diecuts from the Merry Mix pack. I added some foam adhesive behind some of the diecuts as well. My title is from the Festive Treat Words diecut pack. My photo mat was cut from the packaging of one of the punch out diecut packages. The sketch made this an easy layout to complete and I had a lot of fun making it!

Fun at Disney Springs with Good Vibrations!

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends! I'm so happy to be back sharing another layout using the bright and cheerful Good Vibrations collection!

This page documents a fun afternoon spent with my daughter, Hailey, exploring all of the shops at Disney Springs. We wandered through some of our favorite stores, stopped to browse all the fun displays, snapped lots of photos and enjoyed having nowhere we needed to be. Those unhurried afternoons together have become some of my favorite memories. It's days like these that remind me the best memories aren't always the big adventures—they're often the simple moments spent together.

For this layout, I wanted to create a design that felt just as fun and energetic as our afternoon. I started with the bold black-and-white Currently single-sided patterned paper, which provides the perfect contrast for all of the colorful elements in the collection. I then added a wide strip of the Good Stuff double-sided patterned paper across the top of the page. I love the playful rainbow pattern that looks like it was drawn with crayons -- it immediately sets a happy tone. To tie everything together, I included a one-inch strip of Happiness , another crayon-inspired patterned paper, to bring in one more pop of color.

I chose to feature five photos from our afternoon, each printed with a white border to help them stand out against the colorful patterns. Grouping the photos together across the center of the page allowed me to capture several moments from our shopping adventure while creating a strong focal point for the layout.

The title, "The Best," from the Seize the Day Die Cuts pack was the perfect sentiment for this memory. I paired it with a "right now" phrase to create a title that perfectly captures this season of life. Around the photos, I layered pieces from the Picture Day Frame Die Cuts , Hey There Label Die Cuts , Positive Vibes Cut-Apart Flags and Everyday Life Word Stickers to add fun sentiments and playful details throughout the page.

To finish the layout, I tucked individual flowers from the Wildflower Die Cuts behind several of the photos to add soft pops of color and create a sense of depth without overwhelming the design. I also scattered stars from the Seize the Day Die Cuts pack throughout the layout, helping move your eye across the page while adding a playful finishing touch.

Logging It (Your Reads) in a Travelers Notebook / Love Is Kind

Hello Pretty Little Studio Fans! Suzanna here today to share with you a little Love (of the Love is Kind variety!) in my travelers notebook. I used to keep a separate TN for my reads and document monthly while also documenting random about me things in another TN. I decided to integrate the two and so I have a spread a month documenting what I've read. Today's share is my ongoing documenting of my July reads, let's take a look!

New Paragraph

Patterned papers from the 6x6 Mixed Paper Pack are trimmed down to be the background of both pages. Not much needs to be done as most of the work, layering, faux stitching, etc has already been done for me! LOVE that about Pretty Little Studio!

By using the notebook paper patterned paper on the left, I have lines for the "journaling", aka book entries. While I could have left it as it, I did add some extra embellishment!

The right hand page is the "title page" of the spread, indicating what I'm documenting. On top of the very busy patterned paper I used a Be Mine Bracket with a bold red outline to house the title.

Just Add Snuggles | You Are My Sunshine

It's been a fairly hot summer for us in Michigan, but my grandkitty, Rigatoni, is as cool as always! I used the You Are My Sunshine collection to show off his latest glamour shot.

Those whiskers on that baby are insanely long! He is the sweetest little cuddlebug - especially after you give him some food. As Grandma, sometimes I get to be the dinner hero when my daughter is out of town. Just look at those eyes! Who could resist?!

I pulled my title from the 100% Sunshine Words die cuts , but it originally said, "Just add water." I don't know too many cats that title would work for, so I used a matching blue cut apart from the Furry Friends Word Flags , and I covered up "water." Then I used the Out of the Blue mini Alphas to change it up to "snuggles." I hung a banner from the Lemonade Mix die cuts underneath to help anchor the title.

I added some mixed media in various locations through two stencils. I find that Spiced Marmalade distress oxide matches this collection well. I sprinkled some stars around in orange and teal from the Under the Stars die cut pack. I decided to go all out with borders as a focal point on this page, so I fussy cut them from the Be Cheerful 12x12 paper . I bent up all of the edges to add plenty of dimension.

Around my photo, I used some of the smaller borders from the Snowcone Borders pack too. After adding a few hearts from the Light Hearted die cuts , I called this layout complete!

Wildflowers

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends!

It's Shanel with the Pretty Little Studio Design Team, and I am excited to share a new layout with you created with the beautiful Wildflowers Collection! I love how this layout brings in so much color yet still has a cohesive feel.

I wanted the design to feel light, playful and full of movement to document these precious photos of my son and his girlfriend enjoying time together. It was a beautiful Spring day and they caught the perfect sunlight to capture beautiful memories! The combination of patterns and soft colors of the Wildflowers Collection creates a joyful palette that compliments the happy, carefree feeling captured in these memories!

A cascade of colorful hexagons became the design foundation, leading the eye naturally across the page. I cut the hexagons from the patterned paper - Apple Blossom. The pretty mix of florals, gingham, tone-on-tone prints and subtle patterns creates a lot of interest while still keeping the color palette cohesive. Arranging the hexagons so that they flow diagonally across the page, I varied the spacing for a more organic look. Then, I placed the two photos within the flow of the hexagons so they became part of the cascading design, tucking a couple of brackets from the Gentle Breeze Die Cut pack behind them.

To soften the geometric background, clusters of purple gingham die cut flowers are nestled near the photos. I also added hand-stitching to them as well for more texture. I love the look of hand-stitching on a layout! To fill in gaps, I used the cute little flower stickers from the Daisies Sticker pack (from the SunKissed Collection) and scattered some in the flower clusters as well. These tiny details truly add big impact to a page!

To finish the page, the " Oh Sweet Sunshine " title is placed near the center (using foam adhesive) where it connects the photos together. I added a sub-title with mini alphas in Larkspur from the Wildflowers collection as well. They are a beautiful lavender that coordinate perfectly!

Under the Tree: Christmas in July

We're still celebrating Christmas in July!

It’s the perfect excuse to pull out your favorite holiday supplies, enjoy festive creativity in the middle of summer, and get a jump start on your Christmas cardmaking before the busy holiday season arrives. A little pre-planning now, means less stress later, and more time to enjoy sharing handmade cards with the people you love.

For this card, I reached for the beautiful Sugar Plum Christmas Collection, combining the gorgeous patterned papers and festive die cuts to create a cheerful holiday scene. The classic red and green color palette immediately brings timeless Christmas charm, while the touches of green plaid and delicate holiday florals add warmth, texture, and a cozy vintage feel.

One of my favorite details are the die cut Christmas ornaments set against the tree in those beautiful papers. Use foam squares to add dimension and lift the die cuts off the page.

The layered ornaments, scalloped edges, and festive florals create plenty of dimension without overwhelming the clean white background. I also love how the sentiment, "It's not what is under the tree that matters, it's what's around it," reminds us that Christmas is truly about the people we share it with.

This card is the perfect start to your holiday projects if you've been thinking about getting ahead. Hi Pretty Little Studio friends, it's Kim and I'm back today sharing a layout that I made using an older, but fabulous collection called Chasing The Sun. There is a freebie in the shop Chasing The Sun . The colors were perfect for this photo of my granddaughter.

I started by using the 4x6 Paper Pack and layering the sheets. Next, I backed my photo with scraps and used the letters to spell out summer.

To embellish this page, I stuck with the gorgeous tropical flowers. I added labels from the Go With the Flow Cut-Aparts and then, word stickers. I finished with hearts, a popsicle and fruit embellishments.

Every Summer Has a Story

Candy Cane Collection

Hello and Happy Monday! Misty @Mommyofkidz here with you today sharing my newest layout using the Candy Cane Collection. I know I know... Candy Cane Collection ?? WHAT? IN JULY?? Yes, I definitely could have gone all "Christmas in July" since I pulled out this gorgeous collection. It is July and it IS trending! However, I chose to go completely opposite. I did a fun summery layout using the bright colors and trying my best to hide as much of the wintery and holiday patterns as possible. I started with the 12x12 Holiday Tradition page and went from there.
My photos are all from a summer BBQ family gathering...and all of them are of me with people that I love. I wanted to keep the page light and whimsical, and still be able to add ALL of these photos...so I decided to shrink them down and do "photo strips" like we used to get out of the photo booths at the mall. HA! I loved those things!! They usually give the photos in strips of three and you had to be super quick to get a good shot! And I don't care how quick you were to pose...it STILL caught you with some crazy facial expression! That is the effect I wanted to create with these photos. I mounted them in strips of 3 onto black card stock and began creating my background.

I hand cut each square from the page and folded it into an elongated diamond. I assembled them all creating pinwheel shapes to emphasize my summer story. Before securing each piece into place, I did add watercolors to help make it POP from the white background. I used a heating element to dry the surface of the layout before gluing each piece down, and then I added the doodled stitching with a black paint marker. Notice the banner at the top? It is pieces from the Oh What Fun Banner Punch outs that I cut down and covered up some of the Christmas elements. I had so much fun creating this fun layout...and I think I did a pretty good job of covering up most of the Christmas holiday elements! I mean...is it super obvious to the naked unknowing eye that this is a holiday collection?? I don't think it is! YAY ME!

Downtown Mural full of Sunshine

Happy Sunday! MandaJane with you here today with an all new layout. I just got back from vacation and we went on many little adventures!

We went to visit my aunt and cousins up in North east Tennessee. While we were there, we went shopping downtown and found several large murals. I, of course, made everybody stop and take all the photos! My kids were completely DONE with picture taking by the end of our trip. What can I tell you? They are teenagers!

These two photos are from one of the murals we found. I believe we took pictures at about 5 different murals. We only have a couple in our hometown, so I knew this would be a major attraction while we were in Tennessee,

Finding these murals to photograph was only part of the fun. We also went swimming, hiking, ate at so many restaurants, spent time at the fire station, went shopping, found some waterfalls, and so much more. I hope these kids always remember how much fun we had. And isn't that why we scrapbook?

My favorite part of this whole page is the tab that reads, "We didn't know we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun." And that my dear friends, was the theme of our entire vacation.

Here is the title pack that I am using on just about every layout I make this summer! The combination of large block letters and scripty font titles cannot be beat! And below this is the background paper that I cut up to used for the background behind my mural.

You Are My Sunshine Pocket Letter

Morning, y'all! It's Jinny here today, and I'm ever so thankful it's Friday. My hubby has been out of town most of this work week, but he's home now; and I'm hoping he'll let me sneak away for a bit just to rediscover myself. I've gotten a little lost in the chaos of this week; but before the week ever began, I whipped up a sweet, little, pocket letter, inspired by the You Are My Sunshine Collection , for you all. So, let's just get right to it.

One of my favorite ways to use these clear sleeves is to fill them with mini cards to give as gifts. I then write a greeting in one of the mini cards for the recipient and, usually, include their favorite gift card to spend. The recipient can then use the remainder of the minis to tuck into gifts that they themselves give to another. So, that's what I've done here today. I started this project by trimming Sunshine 3x4 Pocket Cards down to 2-5/8" x 3-5/8", scoring them 1/4" in from their left edges, and using that 1/4" to glue them to the same size rectangle of white cardstock. That sets the foundation for each little greeting. Now, let's get a little up close and personal with the greetings. Shall we?

This first mini was topped with a trio of Frisbee Frames Die Cuts , filled in with a Fresh Bloom Stems Floral Die-Cut dragonfly and ladybug, as well as an "I love YOU" Simply Enjoy Clear Word Sticker , backed with white cardstock and hand cut out. All three of these embellishments were popped up with foam tape, and a trio of Christmas Cheer Sequin Mix stars complete the look.

Moving across the top row, the middle mini was embellished with a Lemonade Mix Die-Cut phone and pen and grounded with a "Friends are the sunshine of life." Sunny Day Quote Sticker . An "I can't help but smile when I hear your voice on the phone." Berry Sweet Word Die Cut , popped up with foam tape, completes the look.

The last mini in the first row was dressed up with a quartet of combined Fresh Bloom Stems Floral , Apple Blossom Floral , and Fruit Salad Die-Cut watermelons and bee, a couple of which were popped up with foam tape along with the "One in a melon!" Berry Sweet Word Die Cut . A "watermelon" Berry Sweet White Word Sticker and trio of Christmas Cheer Sequin Mix stars complete the look.

The first mini in the second row was dressed up with Apple Blossom Floral and Lemonade Mix Die-Cut butterflies, adhered just at their centers, as well as Christmas Cheer Sequin Mix , XOXO: Always Aqua , and Comfort & Joy Mix Sequins , all color-coordinated to their placement on the original Sunshine 3x4 Pocket Card .

The center card was topped with a Sunny Side Up Mini Tag Cut Apart , laced with white string, tied in a bow; Fruit Salad Die-Cut sun; and Fresh Bloom Stems Floral and Lemonade Mix Die-Cut cupcakes and birds, several of which were popped up with foam tape. A bitty Simply Enjoy Clear Word Sticker cupcake, backed with white cardstock, hand cut out, and popped up with foam tape, completes the look.

The last mini in the second row boasts four Under the Stars Die Cuts , topped with a "Home IS THE COMFIEST PLACE TO BE" Simply Enjoy Clear Word Sticker , backed with white cardstock, hand cut out, and popped up with foam tape. A Simply Enjoy Clear Word Sticker house was prepared in the same way as the sentiment itself and matches the Berry Sweet Word Die-Cut house perfectly. A trio of Christmas Cheer Sequin Mix stars complete the look.

Moving down to the third and final row, the first mini was dressed up with another Sunny Side Up Mini Tag Cut Apart , laced with white string, tied in a bow, and topped with a large Lemonade Mix Die-Cut heart, as well as three small Berry Sweet Word Die-Cut hearts, popped up with foam tape.

I coordinated a couple of Fresh Bloom Stems Floral Die-Cut daisies to the cropped Sunshine 3x4 Pocket Card in the middle mini. An "Always rooting for you." Berry Sweet Word Die-Cut sentiment, popped up with foam tape; "make a splash" and "shine bright" Berry Sweet White Word Stickers ; and trio of XOXO: Always Aqua Sequins complete the look.

My ninth and final mini was dressed up with a Frisbee Frames Die Cut , topped with a Sunny Side Up Mini Tag Cut Apart , laced with white string, tied in a bow, and further embellished with an "enjoy the sun" Lemonade Mix Die-Cut pendant; "I was made for sunny days" Sunny Day Quote Sticker ; and "YOU ARE MY sunshine" Simply Enjoy Clear Word Sticker , backed with white cardstock and hand cut out.

Large Photo Swimming Layout / Sunkissed Collection

Hiya Pretty Little Studio fans! Suzanna here today to share with you my first blog post as a PLS DT member! I'm so excited to be here and share my creative endeavors with you. Today I'm sharing a large photo, swimming layout created with the Sunshine collection. If you know me and have followed me for some time, you will know that my kids were both competitive swimmers. Yes, were, neither one competes any more. But there were many, MANY years of swimming layouts. And if you knew about the swimmers, you also know my love of large photos. Nothing has changed in that regard!

Here's a look at the full layout;

As you can see, the whole 12x12 page is a 12x12 photo. With this as my base, I built on top of the photo. About an inch and a half of the "Happiness" paper tops the layout, along with the triangle pennants from the Snowcone Die-Cut Borders. They look like the turn flags that stretch across the pool so I had to find a way to get them in!

An important design element that I almost always follow is that of the visual triangle (if you've listened to any of my YouTube videos, you know, I talk about it A LOT). There are three clusters of embellishments that lead your eye around the page. Sometimes my clusters will be the same or similar but more often than not, each is distinct and unique. As they are here. I do like to keep something consistent or have two with similar content.

This bottom/left cluster has the circles and stars, though different sizes, similar to the top/right cluster and the label to the bottom/right cluster. Of note, I put the dark blue almost circle that says "Just Add Water" (and what I'm using as my title) where it is as it's similar in contrast to my sons head and the weight of the two in close proximity create balance to the larger top/right circles and the white space in the open water in the center of the page. There's always a reason for why things are where they are.

While this bottom/right cluster has the colored banner from the Chill Out, Word Flag Cut Aparts, in common with the top/right cluster. In addition to the unique Cut Apart yellow heart and a phrase from the Just Peachy Word Titles Die Cuts.

All three clusters have an element that is popped up on double sided foam adhesive. I like some dimension in my projects.

Hello Sunshine and Happiness | Sunkissed Collection

Hi Friends! We got rained out of a little princess in the park event and got soaked running to our car. When we got home this beautiful rainbow and the sun was out so we took a few pictures. This little princess thought it was just as fun to jump in the puddles so I took a few pictures of that as well! (We did get several pictures with the princesses in the park too so those will make it to a layout soon!!)

For my layout, I am using the Sunkissed collection. I started with a plain piece of white cardstock and did a little ink smooshing and splattering. Then I used a few strips of paper as a base for my photos. I also layered in some ticket diecuts behind my photo. I used two title pieces from the Spring memories words pack with the word AND from peppermint tile abc's to create my title. My banner, cloud, tab label and all the adorable little duck diecuts came from the same diecut pack that the tickets came from. I also used two scalloped borders under my photos along with a piece of torn fabric that I frayed and gathered for a little extra texture.

Hi Pretty Little Studio friends, it's Kim and I'm back today with a layout using the Love Is Kind collection. This was the perfect collection to scrap this vintage photo of my husband and I on our wedding day.

I started with the Always 12x12 Paper . I used scraps from the Love Is Kind Mixed 6x9 Paper Pack to back my photo and then, cut out some hearts from the packaging paper. I pulled my title from the Friends Forever Word Titles Diecuts .

There is so much going on in the background, that I chose to kept my embellishing super simple. I used some hearts from the Cut-Aparts Share the Love and the Cut-Aparts Circle of Love with a few word banners from the You & Me Word Flags . To finish my page, I added a few smaller hearts from the In My Heart Stickers .

Hello Pretty Little Studio Friends, and Happy Sunday! Misty @Mommyofkidz here with you today sharing my latest layout. For this one, I chose to pull out the gorgeous Ginger Snap collection and put it to use. While some of our DT members are sharing Christmas in July projects...I decided to focus on Fall. As some of you know, Melissa is currently working on a new collection, and OH MY WORD it is gorgeous! It has me all up in the Fall Feels with its warm colors and Heart Warming elements! **If you haven't seen the teaser, go to the FB Fans page and sneak a peek! Anyway, after that little tease, I could not resist the urge to pull out Ginger Snap and create.
Once I started, I couldn't stop! I used the 12x12 Ledger for the base of everything, but also for my title. My handy dandy Cricut Machine cut that for me using the Dictionary page from the Ledger Pack and The Baby Claire Digital alphas. I LOVE this alphabet! It is missing a few letters, and I am not 100% sure that I have used it as it was designed...but y'all...I LOVE these letters! I created a vibrant surface using Distress oxides in colors that matched with the colors of the papers I would be using.

The 6x6 Accent pack was perfect for creating th top part of the layout to place my photo. I wanted to incorporate all the colors...and it worked!
I also used the Cozy Weather Banner at the base of my title, and several pieces of ephemera from the Potpourri Mix throughout the layout. Some Apple Pie tiny word stickers rest on the tabs for my hidden journaling some clear word stickers on the photo.

Finally, Since this is my take on the July Scraplift of Rona's layout, I did add in the very distinct distressed "fault line" to mimic the technique that she used in her layout.
This was a fun layout to create...and I very much enjoyed scrap lifting Rona's layout! Head over to the FB Fans page to see the original and join us in the challenge!

New Paragraph

Makes Me Smile

Hello all! Happy July! It's Lisa here today to share a layout I created with the incredible Love is Kind collection and a photo that AI created for me of me my late father. I was trying to get the photo to be animated but it created this for me instead and I love it because right before the original photo was taken, we had toasted just like this. It's a fond memory of my dad and I feel like I found a new photo thanks to AI. I guess its powers can be used for good, too! It makes me smile to remember this day with my dad and to have this photo created was really special to me. You'll also see the "dad joke" under the title...my dad loved a pun on words and "you're one in a melon" would have been right up his alley. And he sure was one in a million.

The layout itself is pretty straightforward, but it's worth mentioning that the white printed paper behind my photo and the frame is from the packaging of the die cuts. I just trimmed the title off the top and used it as is. I love that we get that bonus in the packaging, too. Thanks for stopping by today! Books are Magic

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends! Today I'm sharing another 12" x 12" layout created with one of my favorite Pretty Little Studio collections: "Well Read". Last Sunday my daughter attended a book market together with the publisher of her books and one other author. People could buy her signed books and have a chance to talk with her, as author of the books. I found it really special to watch. I was so proud of her! What better collection than Well Read to document this moment. Here's what I made:

For the base of my layout I chose a sheet of white cardstock which I matted on a sheet of blue cardstock. Then I printed 3 photos measuring 6 cm x 8 cm and placed them in a vertical row on the left side of my page. I cut three strips of paper and placed these below the row of photos. Next I placed a journaling card on the right side as well as several fun die-cuts:

I really love the many die-cuts in this collection, like this cat sitting on top of a pile of books:

Next I created a cluster for the top right of my layout:

I added a super fun die-cut of a bookmark on the left of the photos:

And above my photos I placed this little die-cut:

For the finishing touch I machine stitched around my layout and also over many of the die-cuts. I also wrote a few lines of journaling and added some blue and silver paint drops.

Christmas in July: Get a Head Start on Your Holiday Cards!

Who says Christmas crafting has to wait until December? Christmas in July is the perfect excuse to pull out your favorite holiday supplies and start building a stash of handmade cards before the busy holiday season arrives. A little creativity now means less stress later, and more time to enjoy everything that makes the holidays so special.

For the first card in my Christmas in July collection, I'm using the beautiful Pretty Little Studio Sugar Plum Holiday papers and die cuts, and the Candy Cane Collection polka dot paper. These two collections and their soft colors make just as much of a statement as traditional reds and greens. The sweet pink confetti background creates a playful, festive foundation while the layered oval frame draws your eye to the gorgeous floral holiday collage. Delicate roses, festive greenery, ornaments, and candy canes come together for a fresh take on Christmas that feels elegant and whimsical all at once.

To add dimension, I used an adorable candy cane die cut as the focal point, layering it over the floral arrangement before finishing the design with a simple "Christmas candy" sentiment strip. The combination of soft pinks, rich holiday florals, and classic candy cane accents creates a card that's both cheerful and unique.

If you've been thinking about getting ahead on your Christmas crafting, now is the perfect time. Homeschool Life

Hey, y'all! It's Jinny here today with a page inspired by an oldie but a goodie. The Good Vibrations Collection happens to be one of my all-time favorite collections for its general application to everyday, little moments I capture as a homeschool mom. Every element in today's project, with the exception of the Indian Summer: Inline Alpha Stickers , came from this collection. Enjoy!

I started this page by splattering the 12x12 pink polka dot background print with FolkArt Ballet Pink, Dutch Aqua, Lemonade, Pure Black, and Titanium White acrylic paints. Once it was dry, I added various circles, die cut from the 12x12 Happiness , multi-colored, polka dot print and print-coordinating Hello Journaling 3x4 Pocket Card , anchoring them all with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches while leaving some of those threads long enough to tie in tiny bows. I then cut my photos in the same circles, framing them with white cardstock and embellishing them with punched, Hello Happy Cut-Apart Circles and Wild Flower Die Cuts , some of which were popped up with foam tape.

A trio of Everyday Life Word Stickers , as well as another "date" label, hand-cut from a Hello Journaling 3x4 Pocket Card ...

steer us to the Seize the Day Die-Cut "hello life" title, popped up with layers of foam tape, over lots more of those layered Wild Flower Die Cuts .

A couple of "GOOD VIBES ONLY" and "HAPPY" Keep Going Die Cuts ...

bring us back to the final Wild Flower Die-Cut and Hello Happy Cut-Apart Circle moments...

and Indian Summer: Inline Alpha Stickers make up the arched "HOMESCHOOL" title and complete the look.

Splish Splashing into Summer with the You Are My Sunshine Collection

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends! I'm Deborah, and I'm beyond excited to be sharing my very first project as a member of the Pretty Little Studio Creative Team! It's truly an honor to join such a talented group of designers, and I couldn't think of a better collection than You Are My Sunshine to kick things off.

For my first layout, I chose one of my favorite childhood photos of my daughter, Hailey. Captured during one of her very first adventures in the water, her huge smile and excitement immediately brought me back to that carefree summer day. It's those everyday moments that often become my favorite stories to scrapbook, and the cheerful colors in the You Are My Sunshine collection were the perfect way to bring this memory to life.

I started with the Lazy Days 12x12 patterned paper as my background. One of my favorite things about this paper is the beautiful pre-printed layered borders at the top and bottom of the page. They frame the layout perfectly and provide wonderful texture while leaving plenty of space in the center to build my design.

My 3½" × 5" photo is matted with a soft blue patterned paper from the 6x9 Paper Pack , helping it stand out against the background while coordinating with the blue tones throughout the layout. I then added two torn strips of patterned paper across the page, creating colorful horizontal layers that add texture, interest and a playful feel giving my photo a colorful place to sit within the design.

The bold Splish Splash title from the Just Peachy Word Titles Die Cuts pack became the focal point of the layout and perfectly captures the excitement of this sweet memory. I used two of the Lazy Days Die Cut Labels to build layers around my photo and added a few Berry Sweet Label Stickers to bring in fun phrases that complement the story and tie the design together.

One of my favorite details is the four stitched hearts scattered around the layout. Three are from the Lemonade Mix Die Cuts pack, and I fussy cut one more from the Sunny Hearts Cut Aparts sheet to complete the design. I love mixing products this way to get exactly the look I want while repeating the heart motif to add balance, texture and movement across the layout.

To finish everything off, I tucked one of the adorable tabs from the Lemonade Mix Die Cuts pack behind my photo, added two delicate butterflies from the Butterfly Wings Die Cuts pack and scattered several of the tiny hearts from the Lemonade Mix Die Cuts pack throughout the page. These finishing touches add movement, color and a bit of whimsy while keeping the focus on this happy summer memory.

Scraplift Challenge | Little Moments Together

Hi Friends! Today I have a layout for the Scraplift challenge over at the Facebook Fans Group. Use the layout below as inspiration for your project! We would love for you to join in the fun and be entered to win a prize! Come on over to the Fans group to play along!

For my scraplift today I am using the Love is Kind collection to scrap some sweet photos of my husband and I picking peaches with my youngest granddaughter. My base paper is Better Together . I tore the top portion that looked torn already and then layered You're a Peach under it. I inked both of the torn edges and then added it back to my base page. I added a diecut border under the second layer of torn paper for just a little something extra!

Since the original layout had 4 photos and I only had 3, I completed my grid with a journaling card . I added my title to the journaling card using a clear sticker on cardstock and then fussy cut. I also used the small flower from that pack under the title along with an adorable little ric rak sticker from the side by side borders . At the bottom of the journaling card I added a clear sticker stitch to mimic the stitching on the background paper. I used the remainder of my sticker stich on the top right of the layout.

For the cluster at the top right, I added a label and the word memories from lovely mix diecuts ; and two hearts and a yellow flower to include all the colors from the layout. My floral cluster was created using the gorgeous flowers from just for you flower diecuts and hearts and flowers from the same diecut packs linked above.

Guest Designer, Ashley Wiles July layout

As swiftly as June moved into July, the notorious summer heat and humidity officially arrived here in Lawrence…a perfect excuse to spend time creating inside! Using the beautiful and colorful “Sunkissed” collection, I highlighted our sweet Aspen turning 10. Our beloved maltipoo has been with us since she was just a 2 lb., 1-month-old pup and we adore her!

I began by using 3 different patterned papers (all from the ledger 6x9 paper pack ) and cardstock to die-cut puppy paws. Then I hand-stitched each one to add some dimension. I die-cut lots of hearts, using cardstock, more of the ledger 6x9 papers, and the packaging backer papers that hold the die-cut packs (such a great bonus having usable packing elements!!).

Next, I chose the Sunburst 12x12 paper as my main background, trimming, edge distressing, and adhering it to a piece of black 12x12 cardstock. Positioning the 4x6 double photo of Aspen offset from center, I placed the paws, hearts, and miscellaneous elements around the photo, adding labels and small alpha stickers from the collection to spell out “Happy Birthday Aspen” and aligned the journaling at the bottom with a small strip of stitched stickers to anchor. I did go outside of “Sunkissed” because I was searching for just the right elements to complete the page and ultimately used a definition sticker and strip of hearts from the “Love Is Kind” collection.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Pretty Little Studio and hope that you have found a bit of inspiration. Thank you so much for your encouragement and for the privilege of designing the past 2 months.

Creating a Playful Summer Layout with Colorful Stars

Hello creative friends!

Shanel (@Shanel_craftwithme) here and I am excited to share my first Pretty Little Studio Design Team post! I created with two beautiful Pretty Little Studio collections- You are My Sunshine and SunKissed. I will link some of the products that I used at the end of my post. This layout captures a sweet summer time memory of my son enjoying a refreshing snow cone on a hot summer day—one of those simple moments that instantly brings back the feeling of the season.

I started with the 12 x12 City Life patterned paper as my background page. The designs and colors are so playful and perfect for documenting this photo! To build the design, I began by framing my 5×7 photo with strips of patterned papers in a variety of colors and patterns. I used the SunKissed Collection Accent 6x9 paper to cut the strips. Layering the strips around the photo introduces many patterns and colors without overwhelming the design - letting the bright, playful colors reflect the fun of this summer day! It's a simple technique that works especially well with a larger photo. The strips vary in size from 1/2” to 1” and are layered on the photo and then cut to eliminate the over hanging edges.

To continue the playful summer theme and play along with the July Challenge, I scattered stars in different colors, patterns and sizes from the Sunkissed Die cuts- Shooting Star package around the photo. Repeating the star shape helps guide your eye around the layout. I love

hand-stitching on my layouts so I added dimension to the beautiful stars by adding in stitching around a few of them.

Using foam adhesive to pop up some of the stars also adds a playful touch!

To add balance in the design, I included decorative strips and flowers from the You Are My Sunshine Collection - Snowcone Borders in the top left and bottom right with an adorable sticker also from the You Are My Sunshine Collection - Simply Enjoy clear word stickers - to help tell my story.

I also included a few subtitles near my photo.

I finished the page with the title "A Slice of Summer," layered on a whimsical summer day cloud and sunshine die cut - all from Sunkissed Collection. This layout reminds me that the best summer memories are often the simplest ones!

Combining collections to create a 4th of July layout!

Hello my Pretty Little Studio scrappy friends! Tara here today with my very first blog post for the Pretty Little Studio Creative team! I am super excited to share this layout that I created using a mixture of collections from Pretty Little Studio! When I was assigned today for my post, I knew I wanted to create a Fourth of July layout! I also knew that I wanted to mix up the collections that I used. I will include a photo gallery of all of the products I used below the post!

I started with a piece of grid paper from Love Is Kind! I added some mixed media to the grid paper with ink smooshing, stenciling, and splatters in two circular places on the paper. I knew that I wanted to create a base for my layered photo clusters with the mixed media. The trick to getting a circular ink smoosh is to cut your packaging into a half circle and use the rounded side to do the smooshing!

After allowing my mixed media a little time to dry, I started creating my photo layers. I took two sheets from the Sunkissed 6x9 Accent Papers to create a base for my photo collages. I created two photo collages: one in the red mixed media and one in the blue. I did distress all of the edges of my papers and photos with the night sky background with my distress tool.

Once I figured out the placement of the patterned paper, I started adding stars! Stars are one of my favorite design elements. I did create some more out of my nesting star dies so I would have a few more blues and some yellows. I added stars from several collections: Love Is Kind, Candy Cane, and You Are My Sunshine!

I added my title and the subtitle below it using products from You Are My Sunshine.

Family Summertime Fun

Hey Scrappy Friends! MandaJane with you today. This is my very first blog post for the new design team of Pretty Little Studio

I dove into my box full of goodies to come up with somrthing fun for y'all today.

Since the 4th of July is this weekend, I used 2 photos form last year's cookout. One is a photo of some of my family, including my husband , some of my kids, and an extra cousin thrown in there for good measure,

The other photo is from a different cousin that designs cakes. She brought a cooler FULL of cakes last year that disappeared faster than you can imagine. It was a fantastic day!

One of the challenges for July is to use STARS.

For my page, I used the Sunkissed Shooting Star diecuts that are available in the shop!

This was a fun challenge. And you can use stars of any kind! They don't have to be patriotic stars.

The main thing is, we hope you find some scrappy time during this 4th of July holiday weekend. You deserve it.

| Candy Cane Collection

Hi Friends! Today I have a layout for the new challenge over at the Facebook Fans Group. The challenge is to use Stars on your project (does not have to be a patriotic layout). I am using the Candy Cane collection. This collection has so many fabulous stars and I have lots of Christmas photos to document! I started with this beautiful diagonal stripe called Taffy Candy from the double-sided paper pack . I used the backside of the packaging from my single-sided paper pack for my white and inked around the edges. The "star" of this show (pun totally intended) is the Christmas Star paper which I cut out and stitched right over the perfectly adorable faux stitching (it was so easy to poke the holes that way!) I added some ink blending around the star to really make it pop on this layout. Then I added foam tape for since the stitching made the backside uneven. I layered my photos and the title Holly Jolly from the Festive Treat Words diecut pack right on top of the star. In the top right corner, I used the star banner from the Oh What Fun Banners diecut punchout sheet along with the colorful garland pieces from that same pack. I added lots of stars from the Make a Wish punchouts and by using my star punches with the back packaging from the 12 x 12 paper pack. I added two Sugary Sweet Scalloped Borders and finished off with some phrases from the Holiday Treat Wordfetti and Dear Santa Words . I also added small splatters with the same inkpad that I used for my ink blending.

AI is ok...but I am just Not so Fancy!

Hello my Pretty Little Studio friends! Misty @Mommyofkidz here today sharing a new layout...about ME! Well, kinda. This is a photo of myself, but it does have a bit of that silly AI enhancement going on. I am not a fan of AI, but I did not hate this photo! I decided that I liked the photo enough that I used it to document my thoughts on AI in my hidden journaling. You see those tags sticking out on the right side of my photo? That is where you will find all my thoughts on AI...good and bad.

I have mixed a couple of collections and I LOVE how well they go together. I Started with the Well Read Collection for the fans.I felt like I wanted flowers for the decorations on the fan, so I grabbed the Love is Kind ephemera packs. I used the "Just For You" flower pack to fancy up this fans! Oh...I did toss in a few bits from the Good Vibrations Collection , which is on sale in the shop! The Good Vibrations flair pieces were perfect for the centers of the fans!
Oh...I built this layout based on this month's awesome sketch challenge!

Hello, friends of Pretty Little Studio! My name is Karen Letchworth and I've been in love with the sweet products from Pretty Little Studio for many years now. Hi Pretty Little Studio friends, it's Kim and I'm back today with a layout using the fabulous Love Is Kind collection.

I started with the fun all over heart print Best Of Times 12x12 Paper and added a few faint pink splatters to it. I pulled out my scraps and started creating a background area for my photo to sit on. I used scraps from the Love Is Kind Main 6x9 Paper Pack and labels from the Brackets and Labels Be Mine . I pulled my title from the Friends Forever Word Titles .

I had fun embellishing this page. I cut the adorable balloons out of the Slice of Watermelon 12x12 Paper and popped them up on foam tape. I used flowers, bees and butterflies from the Fresh Blooms Stems Diecuts and the Fruit Salad Diecuts . For the finishing touch, I used a few of my favorite Sunny Stitches Clear Stickers .

Since I used an all over print background, I didn't want to go too heavy with my embellishing. I used bits from the Forget Me Not Diecuts and Forget Me Not Stickers . I finished, by adding a few hearts from the Share The Love Cut-Aparts and the In My Heart Stickers and my page was done.

Welcome Summertime with the You Are My Sunshine collection!

Hello, Pretty Little Studio friends! I'm excited to be on the blog today to share my take on the June sketch challenge. I created my layout with the bright and beautiful You Are My Sunshine collection.

I turned the sketch on its side for fun and used those great sunbursts to frame pics of my sweet grandsons. I used hand stitching (chain stitch) to highlight the alternating rays of the sunburst. I love the mixed media paint splatters on this patterned paper. I get the mixed media effects without all the mess! I used a filmstrip die in my stash for my journaling, along with a word cut-apart and clear word sticker from the collection. The title and beautiful butterflies from the You Are My Sunshine collection were the perfect finishing touches.

Sketch Challenge | Vacation Mode

I just cannot believe we are approaching the end of June already! Fortunately, I was given a super fun sketch challenge inspired by a Caryn Kidwell layout, and I used it to document one of my dog's favorite parts of summer.

Here is the sketch based on Caryn's layout. You can tell how much I loved it by how little I changed it up!

The You Are My Sunshine collection brought all of the happy summer vibes for me again. I started by cutting most of my top and bottom papers from the Catch Some Rays 12x12 paper. To add a few additional colors, I also created some ray shapes from the 6x9 Sunshine Accent pack . I wanted tons of dimension, so I glued my rays down in the middle only. Then I bent up both of the sides as you can see from this side view.

To cover up the parts of my rays that overlapped and didn't look the greatest, I cut two accents from the 12x12 Pinwheels paper. I think I've used some of these fussy cut pinwheels on every project I've made with this collection! �� Since the shirt I was wearing was orange, I decided to move my photo up to the top set of rays with the warmer colors. I also got way more satisfaction that I should have for being able to tuck my photo under the center pinwheel to cover up the blank space at the top of the picture.

Around my photo, I included several embellishments including the bird and label tab from the Lemonade Mix die cuts , the butterfly from the Butterfly Wings die cuts , and a couple of banners from the June Bug flag cut aparts . I also tucked in my journaling next to my photo using one of the journaling tags from the center of the Frisbee Frames . I love how no opportunity to bring more value is ever wasted in the Pretty Little Studio collections!

My title is layered on top of the bottom group of rays, and it came straight from the Just Peachy Word Titles pack . Since I'm a teacher, a good portion of June and July means I'm in Vacation Mode - at least for this year since I've chosen not to take an additional job this summer!

I absolutely could not resist the perfect chance to use that adorable stamp shaped puppy from the Lemonade Mix die cuts pack ! I also added the lemons border from the Snowcone Borders pack , and the flower came from the Fruit Salad die cuts pack . For my final touch, my favorite stitches stickers finished the rays off perfectly. I love how they bring in some more small black accents to go along with my handsome Maxwell's fur. Here's the complete layout one more time.

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends! It's Monique here today, sharing another week in my planner. This time I decided to use the beautiful Love is Kind collection. All Pretty Little Studio collections are perfect to use in planners as there are so many stickers, die-cuts etc to use! Makes it hard to choose! Here's what I made:

The sticker of the bicycle is from a very old collection, but as I love it so much I've been hoarding it. I decided it was time to use it.

I adore all the die-cut scallops in this collection and used many of them, both the smaller and the larger ones.

I also adore all the see-through stickers, like the "keeping cool" sticker in the photo above. Sometimes I stick them on top of a photo or like now, on the paper.

The banner stickers are so cute! This one is just perfect to add to the Father's Day photos!

Loving the little birdie die-cut! I had so much fun creating this week in my planner and I really love the result. I hope I've inspired you to use Pretty Little Studio collections for your planner too.

Morning, y'all! It's Jinny here today with a playful page, inspired by the You Are My Sunshine and Good Vibrations collections. The heat has set in, over the past couple of weeks, in my neck of the woods; so, because we're cooped up indoors, we decided to get back to our homeschool books and take our break at a more weather-convenient time. Needless to say, I've had my plate full lately; so, let's just dive right in. Shall we? Enjoy!

I started this page by adding a puddle of teal watercolor to the 12x12 watercolor paper, base page. I then rubbed Tattered Rose Distress Ink, through a hash stencil and over the puddle, before splattering everything with teal, red, yellow, green, and pink watercolors, as well as Gold Color Shine and Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints. Once everything was dry, I anchored a 4"x12" strip of the Never Better 12x12 print, down the left edge of my prepped page, with black-threaded, straight, machine stitching. From left to right, the bits of the Play It Cool 12x12 ...

Happiness 12x12 , and Think Positive 12x12 prints framing my photos, which were matted with white cardstock, were anchored with more of that same black-threaded, straight, machine stitching before being topped with the photos themselves...

and crowned with a collection of Fresh Bloom Stems Floral and Fruit Salad Die Cuts , popped up with foam tape and combined with a "PERFECT" Keep Going Die-Cut pendant, as well as a Sunkissed: Smell the Flowers Die-Cut bee.

Another collection of blooms, hailing from a combination of Apple Blossom Floral Die Cuts and further embellished with Fruit Salad Die-Cut cherries and Sunkissed: Smell the Flowers Floral Die-Cut bees, all popped up with foam tape, ground my photos.

A Hello Happy Cut-Apart "awesome", popped up with foam tape, tops the whole cluster...

while an Out of the Blue Tag Die-Cut , laced with white string, tied in a bow; Good Vibrations 12x12 Cut-Apart label for journaling...

Picture Day Frame Die Cut ; and Hello Journaling 3x4 Pocket Card , with its center removed, anchor it.

A Geoffrey 6" Vintage Die Cut , popped up with foam tape and topped with an Apple Blossom Floral Die-Cut butterfly, flanks that same cluster's left side.

A "SUMMER smiles" Just Peachy Word Title , popped up with more foam tape, as well as a "sunshine" Lemonade Mix Die-Cut , "LOVE YOU SO MUCH" Everyday Life Word Sticker , and scattered trio of Wildflowers: Honey Bee Clear Stickers , completes the look.

Hi Friends! Today I have a layout using the Comfort & Joy collection. I love the soft beauty of this collection and felt it would be a perfect backdrop for the photos I wanted to document today. The photos printed a bit dark and I wanted a light, soft look for my layout to make the photos stand out. I used some mixed media on a plain white cardstock and then layered torn strips of four papers from the 8x8 paper pack, which is no longer available but the 6x9 paper pack is and it is on sale! I used diecut embellishments from Joyful Mix , Cozy Night Scallops , Evergreen Trees . I also used the I heart Joy heart stickers as a sweet little finishing touch. The cork stickers I used were from the Beautiful Day collection that is no longer in stock.

Introducing our Guest Designer for June and July, Ashley Wiles

Happy summer, Pretty Little Studio friends! As guest designer for June and July, I am excited to share with you a page created using the inspiring and versatile “Sunkissed” collection, highlighting our daughters' shared adventure traveling to Iowa for the Hinterland Music Festival last August.

To begin, I distressed the edges of the Paper Plates 12x12 sheet from the single-sided paper pack and adhered it to a coordinating piece of 12x12 cardstock. I then added a whimsical title created with the Cricut (using black glitter paper) along the top, waiting to adhere until I was certain of the spacing and placement of all the layering pieces I envisioned using. (My process is like this…I tend to move elements around…a lot.)

Next, I selected the Puddle 12x12 sheet from the ledger pack, tore the top and bottom, distressed both the left and right sides, added coordinating ink to the edges for just a bit of dimension, and then placed it as the second layer. I selected one additional 12x12 sheet, Humidity , from the ledger pack, cut it to 5x7, distressed the edges and layered it as the third. Knowing I had chosen 2 photos to use, I wanted to highlight one, so I selected a sweet frame from the Sun-Filled Frames die-cut collection and used that to offset the 2 photos.

TO NOTE: One of the incredible benefits of the products from Pretty Little Studio is the ease of aging/altering…whether that be through tearing, scraping, inking, whatever your preferred method…it is truly wonderful to work with!

From there, I added clusters of embellishments to balance the design – using banners, tags, flowers and tabs. Finally, I finished the layout by adding journaling strips to capture memorable details of their summer bucket list adventure.

Although I’m inherently organized, my creative process is anything but…one might use the word “chaos” to describe the current state of my desk! If I can leave you with this thought…embrace the messiness of creating…the process of design is therapeutic and cathartic…keep filling your soul with this goodness!

You Are My Sunshine

Hello all my Pretty Little Studio Friends! Misty @Mommyofkidz here today sharing my layout featuring the Sunkissed Collection with a few tie bits of You Are My Sunshine tossed in for good measure. Ha!
I started with a sheet of the Ledger paper, which is my absolute FAVORITE "go-to" for the base of most all of my layouts. I love this collection so much...I decided to go all out and use lots of ephemera on this layout to create a border around my main photos. You will see elements from the Be Colorful Brackets , the Sunshine Mix , the Up in the Clouds , and more! I also used some Sunkissed Flair which I LOVE so much!
To "tie" it all together to create a unified border, I added lots of black Nuvo drops. I feel like the drops kept the border going so there was not too much ephemera, and not too much of a break in the design at the same time. All of my journaling is hidden on pull out cards behind the photos.

I started with white cardstock and added a lot of splatters on my page. I pulled out all my scraps from the Sunshine Accent 6x9 Paper Pack and started layering them. Next, I backed my photo with leftover scraps and added a few labels around my photo from the Lazy Day Labels Diecuts . My title is from the Just Peachy Word Titles .

Sunshine, Flowers & Happy Birthday Wishes!

There’s something about bright summer colors and playful patterns that instantly makes me smile, and today’s card is bursting with both! I reached for the Pretty Little Studio You Are My Sunshine Collection to create this cheerful birthday card that comes together quickly while still making a big impact.

The design starts with the beautiful Nectar paper, which features a colorful patchwork of happy patterns. The vibrant orange, yellow, green, and blue squares create a playful backdrop that feels like sunshine-filled summer days. I love how the mix of polka dots and whimsical prints adds energy and movement without overwhelming the design.

To keep this card simple and easy to recreate, I used the patterned paper as the foundation and let the embellishments do the work. A large Happy Birthday sentiment becomes the focal point of the left side of the card, while a cluster of Pretty Little Studio die-cut flowers takes center stage on the right. The bright blooms add dimension, color, and a fun garden-inspired feel that perfectly complements the cheerful summer palette.

I layered several flowers together and tucked in a few leaves and butterflies to create a lively arrangement. A couple of sparkling gems add just the right amount of shine and help draw attention to the floral cluster. The flowers become the star of the card, creating a beautiful focal point without requiring complicated techniques.

One of my favorite things about the You Are My Sunshine Collection is how effortlessly the pieces work together. The sunny colors, playful patterns, and charming die cuts make it easy to create cards that feel polished and joyful in just a few steps.

Fun in the Sun

Hi Friends! Is it HOT where you are? We really had summer show up in a big way this week! I had 3 of my grandkids on Tuesday and we beat the heat with some water balloons and the slip n slide! I didn't even get the hose hooked in to the slide and they were already running and sliding so we just held the hose on it and went for it! I printed these photos right out and pulled out the amazing You are my Sunshine collection!

I am really loving multi-photo layouts right now so I went with 6! My background paper is City Life . I flipped it on it's side so I could have the fun border detail on the top. I then added a four inch strip of Sprinkler to the bottom. I used a scrap of Pick up Sticks and a fussy cut banner where the two pieced connected. I used a large scrap of Out of the Blue to go behind my block of photos.

My title was several pieces from the Just Peachy Word Titles and Berry Sweet Words I love them stacked to create this fun cluster title. I used a cut apart from Sandcastle for the word "Loving" and the Sunshine Mini ABC's to create the word this under Loving. I popped up some of the title pieces with 1mm foam tape and some with fun foam. I added a pink frame from the Frisbee Frames diecut pack under the title pieces for a little extra pop!

On the right side of my photo block I used two Out of the Blue Tags and added the cute swimsuit from Berry Sweet Words . I added a few flowers and bugs from the Fresh Blooms stickers . I finished up with some sweet little hearts from the Something Sweet words clear stickers .

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends! It's Monique here today, sharing my latest layout created with the beautiful "Love is Kind" collection. For this layout I used three square photos of my sweet Cocker Spaniel.

Here's what I made:

I used white cardstock for the background and placed the vertical row of three photos on the left side. Next I selected two pieces of patterned paper that I placed under the photos and a strip of scallops that I placed on the left side of the photos:

Next I selected two journaling cards and a title for the right side of the photos as well as a few more die-cuts.

I also love this die-cut frame with the heart shaped hole in it as well as the little ticket:

On the journaling cards I wrote my dog's favorites. I decided my layout was a little too white and cut off narrow strips of paper from all four sides and placed the layout on a sheet of dark blue cardstock. Then I stitched the sides and over some of the embellishments and sprinkled lots of little silver and blue paint drops over my layout. And that's it! I was done! I hope you like it.

For this design, I wanted to really lean into the vibrant, happy energy of the collection. The radiating sunburst pattern became the foundation of the page, I created a shaker pocket filled with sequins using the Sunburst transparency machine stitched straight onto the background patterned paper. This sunburst effect not only draws the eye straight to the photos, but also perfectly echoes the theme of a glowing sunset.

At the center of the layout, I featured a series of small landscape photos capturing a serene lakeside sunset. The photos are arranged horizontally to tell a gentle, flowing story of the changing light across the water. To ground the photos and make them stand out, I layered them on a scalloped border and subtle embellishments that add texture while keeping the focus on the imagery.

The title, “Sunset is my Favorite Color,” sits prominently across the design. I love how the bold black lettering contrasts with the bright background while the handwritten-style subtitle softens the look and adds a personal touch.

This layout is all about capturing a feeling—the warmth, calm, and beauty of a perfect sunset moment. The bold design combined with soft, playful embellishments like the clouds and stars I added, create a balance that feels both energetic and peaceful.

Hello, Pretty Little Studio friends! I'm so excited to share my latest layout with you, created with the You Are My Sunshine collection. My inspiration for this project was the June Scraplift layout created by Caryn Kidwell.

I love the grid design of Caryn's layout and the sentiments: sunny and happiness. This led me to create a layout about some of my favorite activities: reading and scrapbooking. If I'm not relaxing in my recliner or on the deck reading my latest novel, you can find me surrounded by my scrapbook products in my craft room.

To create my layout, I chose 2 recent photos and began with the Under the Sun patterned paper from the You Are My Sunshine collection. Next, I fussy-cut a journaling block, the large butterfly, and lemonade images from the Journaling Cards in the You Are My Sunshine collection. I added a Rainbow Cut-Apart to the upper left of the layout to balance out that lovely large butterfly in the bottom right. To continue those lovely rainbow colors, I adhered paper strips from the Sunshine Mixed 6x9 Paper Pack beside each photo. The final touches include die-cuts from the Butterfly Wings and Light-Hearted packs. The die-cuts Joy and Be Creative from the Sunkissed collection seemed perfect for this layout. I adhered several of the elements on dimensional foam and some with my tape runner.

You & Me & Baby Makes 3!

Hello and Happy Sunday Friends!
Misty @Mommyofkidz here with you today sharing a new layout in my traveler's notebook. It is only like my 8th or 10th layout...I am still very new at creating these, but I am enjoying them! Are you as surprised as I am!!?? LOL
For this one, I used primarily the Comfort & Joy Collection pulling from the pinks and reds. I omitted anything that could only be used for Christmas. I only collected all of the items that I could that would translate to a topic OTHER than Christmas. I truly LOVE when a holiday collection can be versatile and can still be used throughout the year. That is how all of the Holiday collections are from Pretty Little Studio!

Anyway, today I wanted to create a feminine layout to announce the upcoming arrival of my son's baby girl!!! I can't even express the joy and excitement that is inside me, but I am sure that it will only intensify as the due date gets closer!
I did use the Bingo Challenge from the FB Fans Page...so I made certain to include my chosen elements. I chose the line diagonally from the bottom left to the top right. HEART, SCALLOPED BORDER, FREE, FUSSY CUT, SOMETHING YELLOW.

Hi Pretty Little Studio friends, it's Kim and I'm back today with a layout using the fabulous Love Is Kind collection. I went with the gorgeous blues and yellows in the collection on this page of my granddaughters playing outside.

I started with white cardstock and then, used the I Love You 12x12 Paper to back my photo and tore it for the top and bottom of my page. I layered scraps behind my photo using papers from the Love Is Kind Main 6x9 Paper Pack . I used some frames from the Diecut Frames Friendship and I pulled my title from the Berry Sweet Words Diecuts .

I started embellishing my page by adding some labels from the Lovely Label Stickers and words flags from the You & Me Word Flags Cut-Aparts . I thought the bees and little bugs were so cute, so I added them around my page. I used both the Forget Me Not Diecuts and the Forget Me Not Stickers . I finished by adding a few hearts from the In My Heart Stickers . Thanks for joining me and have a lovely day! Kim

Hey, y'all! It's Jinny here today with a page inspired by our You Are My Sunshine Collection. With everyone going different directions this summer, let's just get right to it. Shall we?

I started this page by adding lots of distressed, 1" wide, 6x9 Accent Paper Pack and Sunshine 8x8 Paper Pack prints, of varying lengths, to the edges of a 12x12 textured, white cardstock, base page, layering a few strips as I went, and then anchoring them all with a black-threaded, straight, machine-stitch frame 5/8" in from the outside edge.

I then matted my photos with white cardstock and adhered them in a grid design in the center of my frame. A Fruit Salad Die-Cut sun crowns my first photo...

and a "FRIENDS" Love Is Kind: Always There Words Cut-Apart , anchored, at its left end, with an orange button, laced with black, embroidery floss, grounds it.

A "sizzling MEMORIES" Just Peachy Word Titles Die Cut , popped up with foam tape and topped with a simple "FIELD TRIP" phrase, using Hey Summer: Heat Wave Alpha Stickers, as well as "A day in May" Wildflowers: White Spring Words Sticker and "adventures" Love Is Kind: Best Friend Clear Word Sticker , creates my title.

I hand-cut the layered flame from Stampin' Up, textured Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight cardstocks; inked their edges with Tea Dye and Antique Linen Distress Inks for depth; anchored each layer with color-coordinating machine-stitching; and topped the result with an Alex Vintage Die Cut, popped up with foam tape.

A couple of Out of the Blue Die-Cut Tags , laced with white string, tied in bows, fill in a little empty space within my grid and create movement throughout my design.

My third and final photo was topped with an "add WATER" Just Peachy Word Titles Die Cut , popped up with foam tape and backed with a Lemonade Mix Die-Cut tab, to house my handwritten date. A couple more orange buttons, laced with black embroidery floss, make a trio and complete the look.

BINGO challenge | Go Bananas -

Hi Friends! Today I have a brand new challenge for June in the Facebook Group? It is a BINGO challenge. You create a layout using Pretty Little Studio products with this BINGO board. For my layout I chose the far right column "something yellow, sticker, sun, at least two patterned papers and cloud".

I used the You are my Sunshine collection and those prompts to create this layout! I had so any photos I really kept it simple. My strip across the top of the layout Sunny Days covered yellow, sun, cloud and one of my patterned papers. For the other one, I used a strip of Jump Rope along the bottom of the layout. My title was from the Just Peachy Word Titles . (I absolutely saved this title just for this layout!)

To embellish I used a ticket from the 6x9 Sunshine Accent pack . And, stickers from Chasing Summer words, Keeping Cool Words , Under the Stars , and Snowcone Scalloped Borders. I also used two borders from the Snowcone Borders Diecut pack and a few punched stars from the packaging of the 12 x 12 papers.

June Sketch Challenge | Rain or Shine

Hey there, friends!

I'm really excited to share my layout for the sketch challenge using the beautiful Love is Kind collection.

Here's this month's sketch!

I began by following the sketch closely, using the Happiness Pattern Paper as a fantastic starting point due to its appealing patchwork design. I fussy-cut several pieces and incorporated additional cuts from the 6 x 6 paper pack to form a beautiful frame around the layout. To enhance the overall look, I finished by adding machine stitching along all edges, giving the project a polished, cohesive feel.

I selected several pieces from the 6x6 paper pack to create beautiful layers behind the photo. At the bottom of the photo, I added a " Be Mine" banner , and on the left side, I placed a couple of hearts from the " Cut-Aparts Share the Love " set.

To enhance my project, I chose a die-cut from Story of Our Words for my title. I also added some stamping for extra charm before adhering it in place. Finally, I finished the project with a few hearts, butterflies, and paint splatters.

Hey, ya'll! It's Jinny here today with a page inspired by the You Are My Sunshine Collection (Although, there are a few kisses of the Sunkissed Collection , as well as a few older collections, mixed about.) and, once again, my love of baseball. Enjoy!

I started this page by adding a yellow, watercolor puddle, just left of vertical center, across my 12x12 watercolor paper, base page. I then splattered it with yellow, blue, and red watercolors and Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints, before matting my photos with white cardstock and framing each of them, from left to right, with 6x9 Accent Paper Pack prints (the first two), a 6x9 Sunshine Paper Pack print, and XOXO: 6x9 You & Me 3, all anchored with black threaded, straight, machine stitching. A hand-cut, from a Sunshine 3x4 Pocket Card , sun was tucked under the top combined edges of the first two photos...

while the second photo alone was further dressed up with a Lemonade Mix Die-Cut tab, filled in with a "keep shining" White Berry Sweet Word Sticker .

The third photo was backed with both an Out of the Blue Die-Cut tag, laced with white string, tied in a bow, and a snippet of white cheesecloth for texture.

All of my photos were then anchored with a "CHASING Summer" Sunkissed: Iced Tea Words Die Cut ...

wrapped around a Play Ball Vintage Die Cut ...

as well as a "shine BRIGHT" Berry Sweet Words Die-Cut title, topped with Fruit Salad Die-Cut lemons. All of these grounding elements were popped up with foam tape to give them that depth and dimension y'all know I love so much and, in turn, anchored with my handwritten journaling.

A scattering of a combination of Under the Stars Die Cuts , Sunkissed: Shooting Stars Die Cuts , Hello Heather: Aloha Die Cuts (Many of these combinations of die cuts were popped up with more foam tape.), and Document Life: Star Stickers...

as well as a trio of word phrases, including "it's summer ya'll and "happiness" White Berry Sweet Word Stickers and a "Sunshine is my favorite accessory." Sunny Day Quote Sticker , complete the look.

Adventures Together

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Misty @Mommyofkidz here with you today sharing my newest layout! This one is a bit deceiving...it looks very patriotic, right?? Well, it is created using primarily the Christmas Cheer and Tis The Season collection! I do still have plenty of these collections left in my stash, and what better way to use it up, right??

I decided to dig deep and pull out a photo that is over 25 years old...and finally put it to a page in my album. This photo doesn't just pull on my heart strings. It tugs so hard that the tears start flowing if I let them...which is why it has taken me so long to finally scrapbook it.
This is a photo of my nephew and niece sitting in the wagon with my oldest son.This was a common site at my house for many years...the three of them playing together, then taking Popsicle break...then going right back to their mischief. Of course more cousins were added over the years, but these three were inseparable.

While much of what I have used is no longer available, there is still plenty of both Christmas Collections left in the Pretty Little Studio Shop and guess what...they are on sale!!

Also, I used bits from the Love is Kind Collection, but only a little. I used the Story of Us die cut Words in a few spots.

You & Me - INSD Scraplift Challenge inspiration

Hi Friends! Have you enjoyed the InterNational Scrapbook Day challenges over on the Pretty Little Studio Fans Facebook Group? There are so many fabulous entries in the challenges and there is still plenty of time to play along to win some amazing prizes!

For my layout today I am playing along with my challenge to scraplift a layout found in one of the albums in the group. I am scraplifting Helen Ding. Here is her beautiful layout.

I was inspired by Helen's triangles, the background patterned paper and her whimsical embellishing!

I am also using the Love is Kind collection. My background is also Lifetime Ledger . Since I was using so many photos from this event, I altered the design a bit from Helen's to work with my photos. My triangles are cut from Little Moments , Love is Kind , Laughter and Cherry on Top . I stitched around two sides of each of my triangles (DMC 761). I placed my triangles all pointing in to the photos. I added embellishments from die cut packs: Forget me not , In my Heart , Lovely Mix , Be Mine Banners and Tags . My title is from the Forever Friends Word Titles . I also used Frosting Mini ABC's to add emphesis to my song lyrics. (It was the song my grandson was singing to his mom at his Valentine Party!) My daughter may add her journaling in the lower right section. Can I let you in on a secret? After I finished I think I like Helen's layout design better than mine, however, I love that this told my story and even though it feels a bit chaotic, that kind of goes right along with a Pre-K school party LOL!

Happy Memorial Day Pretty Little Studio friends,

it's Kim and I'm back today with another layout. I used a mix of Candy Cane and You Are My Sunshine collections on my page. I thought because of the holiday, it was a perfect time to scrap this photo of my fifth child, Logan. This picture is from opening day and he was excited for the season to get underway. He plays for our local Special Olympics team and the amount of joy on the field is priceless.

I started by adding various shades of blue splatters to my page and then, I cut out a star. I used packaging from Candy Cane lane for my star and I did have to piece it together. I backed my photo with scraps and for my title I used alphas from my stash.

To embellish this page, I started by pulling out red and blue labels to ground my clusters. I used labels from the Lazy Days Labels Diecuts and the Fruit Cake 6x12 Labels Punch-Outs . I added smaller stars from Under the stars Die-Cuts and a few Make A Wish Stickers . To finish, I added a few of the tiny Heartfelt Stickers and thread around my stars.

Beautiful Layered Layout

A Mixed-Media Take on the May Sketch Challenge featuring the Sunkissed and Wildflowers collections.

Hello, Pretty Little Studio friends! I'm excited to be on the new blog today, sharing my mixed-media take on the May sketch challenge. I took inspiration from this sketch, based on a layout by creative team member Misty Foresman, and created my inky, layered project.

When I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to capture the layers behind the photo and around the perimeter of the layout.

I started with paper (Road Trip) from the Sunkissed collection, featuring many mixed-media elements, as my background. One of my favorite color combinations lately is purple and yellow. I think it's perfect for Spring. I added yellow ink to the top-left and bottom-right of the page. I then used the same yellow ink to stencil hearts over and beyond the original ink. I chose a second patterned paper (Grape Jam) from the Sunkissed collection with designs in various shades of purple. I cut each pattern on this paper into separate pieces. The last patterned paper (Fragrance) was from the Wildflowers collection and was a great dictionary print. I cut this paper in half and used the left side with the purple and yellow design. This was cut into several pieces, and the edges were torn. I did add some extra purple and yellow ink. Next, I layered the pieces into a design I liked and adhered the middle of each piece with dimensional foam of various thicknesses. This allows me to tuck embellishments under the edges.

Now, the fun begins! In addition to the patterned paper pieces, I tucked in a few tags, border scallops, banner pieces, and various die cuts from the Wildflowers collection. I only glued one edge of each to add to the dimension. I die-cut flowers from a piece of the patterned paper and rounded the petals for some lovely accents. I also added some purple inked hearts in various places on the background and patterned papers.

Long time, no see, y'all! It's Jinny here today with a page inspired by the onset of baseball season and my longtime love of the game. It came about as the result of the combined efforts of the You Are My Sunshine , Sunkissed , Wildflowers , Love Is Kind , and even our newest, Candy Cane collections, as well as a sweet, little package of Play Ball Vintage Die Cuts . Enjoy!

I started this page by smudging Stormy Night and Aquamarine Glimmer Mists, strategically, across the Wildflowers: 12x12 Ledger #1 base page. I then splattered it with those same shades of Glimmer Mist, as well as Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints. Once everything was dry, I began anchoring my strips of paper, vertically, with black-threaded, straight, machine stitching. From left to right, those prints came from the following collections: Sunkissed: 6x6 Accent Paper Pack (first two), hand-cut from the Candy Cane: 12x12 Fruitcake print, Candy Cane: 12x12 Candy Dots , 8x8 Gold Foil Countdown, 8x8 Black Dots, hand-cut from a You Are My Sunshine: 6x6 Sunshine Accent Paper Pack print, and You Are My Sunshine: 6x9 Accent Paper Pack . I then threw a number of ribbons and trimmings from my stash into the mix to create a scrumptious array of textures, before topping the whole lot with my photo, which I simply matted with white cardstock.

My photo itself was sandwiched between a trio of Play Ball Vintage Die Cuts , one of which was framed with a You Are My Sunshine: Frisbee Frames Die Cut , and all of which were popped up with foam tape...

and a You Are My Sunshine: Lemonade Mix Die-Cut tab, filled in with the handwritten date and topped with a couple of July Freebie Cut-Apart phrases, as well as my handwritten journaling.

A Sunkissed: Sunshine Mix Die-Cut ticket stub, laced with white string, tied in a bow, was tucked under the top edge of my photo.

I then anchored a couple of additional prints, including that same older 8x8 Black Dots print from above, as well as a punched strip of a You Are My Sunshine: 6x9 Sunshine Accent Paper Pack print, with more black-threaded, straight, machine stitching. A Love Is Kind: Lovely Mix Die Cut tab was tucked under their right side; filled in with a couple of Love Is Kind: Best Friend Clear Word Stickers ; and embellished with a Love Is Kind: Lovely Mix Die-Cut stamp.

A Sunkissed: Iced Tea Words Die-Cut "Keep Smiling" title, You Are My Sunshine: Lemonade Mix Die-Cut ticket stub, Play Ball Vintage Die-Cut glove, and Hello Heather: Aloha Die-Cut "yes" round out the cluster...

while a quartet of Wildflowers: Honey Bee Clear Stickers , scattered throughout the design...

Summer Smiles - INSD Scraplift Challenge

For my layout today I am playing along with my challenge to scraplift a layout found in one of the albums in the group. I am scraplifting Jessica Mikels. Here is her beautiful layout.

I was inspired by Jessica's layered scalloped borders, her sweet banner and her overall layout design.

I am using the You are My Sunshine collection. My background is City Life . In order to keep to Jessica's design I used the paper upside down. I really hated covering the cute houses, but I wanted to add these layered elements. I used some scraps from this collection from previous layouts for some of my layering pieces. I fussy cut the cloud scalloped border from a sheet of the 6x9 accent paper pack . The rest of the borders came from snowcone borders . My banner was made from the june bug flags cut aparts . My title is from the just peach word titles . I finished up with some extra diecuts from lemondade mix, apple blossom florals, and lazy days labels . The sequins I used were from older collections and are no longer available.

Hello Pretty Little Studio friends!

It's Monique here today, sharing my latest layout created with the beautiful "Love is Kind" collection. For this layout I used photos from last month's King's Day which is widely celebrated in our country: almost everyone wears something with the royal orange color and the streets in the city center are filled with music, market stalls with 2nd hand articles and food. The tradition I like most is eating an orange tompouce, a special pastry for King's Day.

Here's what I made:

I used white cardstock for the background and placed seven rows of scalloped borders on the lower half of the sheet. I fussy cut these borders from the patterned paper called " Fruitylicious ". Next I placed two photos on top and decorated the scalloped borders with lots of die-cuts and stickers.

Above the photo on the left I adhered a tab and a cute little bow (I love bows!!) and a tiny word sticker:

Next I wrote a few lines of journaling, stamped the date, stitched around all four sides of my layout and over some of the embellishments and sprinkled lots of little paint drops over my layout in three different colors. And that's it! I was done! Hope you like it.

Quick and easy tags!

When you’re short on time but still want to be creative, tags are the perfect small project to jump in to. They don’t require a lot of supplies, can be made with leftover scraps of patterned paper and embellishments, and are easy to complete in just a few minutes.

Creating tags is also a wonderful way to boost creativity without the pressure of designing a full scrapbook layout or card. Hello to all of my fellow PLS creators!

Today I'm sharing my latest layout created with the Love is Kind collection.

I was blessed to spend some time with both of my daughters on Mother's Day this year, and I was able to grab this beautiful photo of them. There is such a fabulous International Scrapbook Day sketch challenge in the Pretty Little Studio Fans Facebook group, and I knew that sketch would be the perfect showcase for this picture!

I started with the super fun striped Best Friends 12x12 paper as a border, and I used my Love is Kind 6x9 paper pack to start building up the layers.

I had the best time stacking all of these colorful patterns up! I love to outline my papers by running a black Sharpie marker along the edges just to make them pop a little more off the background. It creates a little extra depth.

For the title block, I used the heart border from the Side-by-Side Scallops die cuts for the base of it, and the Friends Forever Word Titles had the "Sister Love" title. A patchwork heart from the Share the Love cut aparts looked just right tucked underneath. Some scattered flowers from the Forget Me Not pack and butterflies from the Two of a Kind pack added to the spring vibes, and I adore the gorgeous yellow cross-hatch tag from the Love is Kind tags !

In the sketch, there is a fun cluster in the top, left corner, so I layered up a label from the Growing Up cut-aparts and a half-bracket from the Be Mine pack . A Pretty Little Studio layout just wouldn't be complete for me without using some of the Sewn With Love stitches stickers too.

The Timeless Tape Pieces had a wonderful light blue piece that was a great landing place for a few of the phrase stickers in this line on the You & Me word stickers sheet. After some final stamping, this colorful and happy layout was finished!

Let's Eat Cake! And celebrate!

Birthday cards are so special and so easy to create. You are sure to brighten someone's day!

Today’s card highlights the beautiful Love Is Kind collection from Pretty Little Studio, proving once again that this collection is perfect for bright and happy occasions!

This design comes together easily thanks to the Side by Side Scallops, which create a fun layered background full of movement and interest. By mixing and matching the different patterned papers, you get that cheerful, patchwork effect without a lot of complicated steps. It’s a great technique if you want something eye-catching but still quick to assemble.

Hi Pretty Little Studio friends, it's Kim and I'm back today with a layout using a mix of the Love Is Kind and You Are My Sunshine collections. Following my repeated shapes challenge in the PLS Facebook group, I used squares on this page of my granddaughters.

I started with white cardstock and pulled some dies from my stash. I used the Love Is Kind 6x9 Paper Pack , the Busy Bee 12x12 Paper and the Watch the Clouds 12x12 Paper for my squares. I cut various shapes from the different patterns and then, backed my photo with scraps from one of the papers. I also layered a few frames from the Frisbee Frames Diecuts . My title words phrases are from the Friends Forever Word Titles Diecuts .

To embellish my page, I started by adding large hearts from the Cloudy Hearts Cut-Aparts to my two large squares. Next, I added a few words from the Splish Splash Words Clear Stickers and the Lemonade Mix Diecuts . To finish, I added a few flowers from the Fresh Blooms Stems Diecuts and the Forget Me Not Stickers .

You Color My World

Hello all of my Pretty Little Studio Friends!
Misty @Mommyofkidz here today sharing my Project and Challenge from iNSD weekend!!
My Challenge was to use a color/mood board as inspiration for your project of any type.

I started out doing a double page 12x12 layout using the Die cut Rainbow from the Wildflowers Collection . I was also using the 12x12 page "Color Palette" ...which I ended up trimming the rainbow out of in order to maount the whole think on my wall!

I mounted both rainbows onto a 12x24 peice of black cardstock and trimmed that down. I loved how it looked already! Next, I began adding my photos, clouds, ribbons, flowers and finally the title that I cut with my Cricut. It came together so easily!

The flowers are an assortment from several different collections. A few of the blooms are from the Smell the Flowers pack in the Sunkissed Collection. Most of them, however, are from the Garden Blooms Pack in the Wildflowers Collection .
All of the ribbon was from my scrap ribbon stash. I loved that I had some that perfectly matched the colors!

Once it was all put together and humg on my wall in my scraproom, I was so flippin happy! It brightened up my room SOOOO MUCH! Honestly though, All things Pretty Little Studio make photos look prettier! LOL

Hi there! Lisa here today to share a quick layout I created with the Love is Kind collection. Quick because the background paper here does all the work for me! I simply sized my photos to square, fit them in the frames added a journaling card or two, some embellishments and this layout was done.

Candy Cane Season's Greetings Card

I hope you're having a great day! Today I'm sharing a beautiful holiday card made with the Pretty Little Studio Candy Cane Collection!

This card starts with a patterned paper background that I topped with a floral arrangement. To create a focal point I layered light grid pattern paper over a piece of darker dotted paper. To help with placement I lay all the images on a piece of clear plastic the size of the card base.

Some of the images are adhered with adhesive foam tape, like the big red flower so I could tuck other elements underneath.

Some holiday elements are mixed in with the florals - a candy cane, string of beads and an ornament.

The finishing touch is always a sprinkle of gems for some sparkle and shine! I hope you're smiling!

Bloom Where You are Planted

Hello, Pretty Little Studio friends! I'm happy to be on the blog today sharing my take on the May Scraplift Challenge. I chose to create my layout with the Sunkissed collection.

Isn't this inspiration layout adorable? I love the paper strips and faux stitching. I chose to use those design elements on my layout.

I started by cutting paper strips from the Sunkissed collection and arranging them on my white cardstock.

I love the bright colors and Spring patterns in the Sunkissed collection.

I wanted to showcase two photos from a baby shower I had recently for my son and daughter-in-law. We are awaiting the arrival of Baby Boy #3. They have created such a beautiful marriage and family. The title, "Bloom Where You Are Planted", was just perfect. I used Pretty Little Studio Sticker Stitches over several paper strips.

To complete my layout, I added stencilled hearts, journaling and several diecuts. I love the little duckie floating in with an umbrella. I imagine that is baby boy #3 and his 2 little brothers are the duckies at the bottom running to meet him.

Using the Sunkissed and Bohemian Dream collections from Pretty Little Studio , I documented a fun-filled outdoor moment that was truly all about making a splash and enjoying the day.

The bright, playful color palette instantly sets a sunny mood. Layers of pinks, yellows, teals, and aquas come together beautifully, echoing the warmth of summer and the cool relief of water play. I love how the patterned papers from both collections mix effortlessly—bold polka dots, subtle textures, and soft grids add interest without overwhelming the photo.

To draw attention to the photo, I built a layered frame using a mix of papers, tabs, and ephemera. This helps anchor the layout while still allowing plenty of white space for the design to breathe. The Sunkissed pieces bring that fresh, summery vibe with phrases like “sunny” and “make a splash,” while Bohemian Dream adds a touch of whimsy with dreamy colors, arrows, and layered details.

The title, “splash the day away,” became the perfect focal point. Combining bold typography with hand-drawn elements and arrows helps lead the eye around the page and adds movement—just like the water-filled fun in the photo. Little details like bows, scalloped borders, and labels finish off the layout and give it a playful, handcrafted feel.

This page was such a joy to create and really shows how well the Sunkissed and Bohemian Dream collections work together. If you’re documenting summer memories, outdoor adventures, or those simple sunny moments, these collections are a perfect match.

Hello Pretty Little Studio fans! It's Monique here today, sharing a layout created with the colorful Sunkissed collection.

For this layout I chose three smaller photos of our vacation in Sicily, Italy, last year. My husband wanted to see the vulcano Edna and so we climbed the stairs of this very old church and indeed! in the far distance we spotted the Edna! Here's the layout I made:

For this layout I chose the sheet " Puddle " for my background. I adore this paper with all the scribbeling and the pink paint. I cut off a thin strip of paper of all four sides and proceeded to distress the edges of the paper. I placed the sheet on a pink/purple colored cardstock and machinestitched all around it. Next I placed the three photos on top and embellished with lots of die-cuts.

Loving all the pinks in this collection!

I machine stitched over many of the die-cuts and added a few more pink paint drops.

I love this collection so much! All those bright colors are so me!

Hello to all of my fellow creators! Today I'm sharing my latest layout created using my absolute favorite Pretty Little Studio collection of all time - You Are My Sunshine !

My dad celebrated his 80th birthday this weekend, and my aunt shared some photos of him I'd never seen before. When I saw this picture I knew it needed a layout to showcase it ASAP. Look at what a cutie he was! I started out with the 12x12 Fly A Kite paper for my background. I love how it captures so much of what I knew my title would be with the carefree elements like the cupcakes and kites and the pawprints to go with the "puppy dog tails."

Since I knew I wanted to use this nursery rhyme as a very long title, the Out of the Blue mini ABC stickers were the perfect fit! I added journaling using a Brighter Days cut apart label . I've always loved hearing my dad's stories of how children made their own fun and adventures when he was growing up.

Underneath my photo, I used a Tim Holtz layered sunbeam stencil with Distress Oxides. The colors that went perfectly with this collection were tumbled glass, mustard seed, and crackling campfire. I added more of these colors through a mini diamond stencil scattered around the rest of the page.

Per my usual obsession with adding touches of black to my layouts, I also drew some sunbeam lines with a black sharpie and went over them again with an Elle's Studio stitches stamp. I pulled papers from the Sunshine Accent 6x6 pack to layer under my photo too. Stars seemed to be the perfect accent for a fun boy page, so I included several die cuts from the Under the Stars pack.

A festive banner begged to be added to the top of the page, and these flags from the Cool Aid Pennants cut aparts fit the the bill perfectly. Since the cut aparts are only $1 apiece, I usually buy several of each one. There's a load of bang for your (literal) buck there!

For my final touches, I scattered lots of star stamps and hole punches from one of the navy blue papers to tie my title and everything else together. I know this background is a little chaotic, but so is little boy energy, right?! ��

So Many Books So Little Time

Hello, friends!! Today I am sharing a layout that I created that is a bit different for me! Do you like to stay in your normal style or stretch your creativity and try new things? I think scraplifting different layouts is the perfect way for me to keep things fresh and try something I might not otherwise try!

I do really like how this turned out and I had lots of fun creating it. I used the Well Read collection. My background paper is Take Note . I actually used the double sided from this pack . I am happy I had that pack because I used lots of the freebie cut-outs on the packaging for this layout! The stripe paper was also from that pack but also comes individually in single sided. Besides the freebie cut-outs I also used die cut embellishments from Book Worm , Card Catalog , Page Turner , On my Shelf and the Bibliophile cut-aparts . The rectangles were cut from the 6x9 or 8x8 paper pack because the scale of the patterns are a bit smaller than the 12 x 12 pack.

Splish Splash

Oh these beautiful spring days have me thinking all things outside!

For today's layout I did something I haven't done in a little while, I made my background with some mixed media! I played along with a YouTube hop called Mix it up Monday. (more information on that in my process video)

I used the gorgeous You are My Sunshine collection! The vellum that I used for the background (and which inspired the mixed media colors) is from the vellum pack . My title came from the Just Peachy word titles . I used several florals from the Fresh Blooms and Fruit Salad die cut packs. I finished up with some sweet little stickers from the Fresh Blooms sticker sheet.

Hey Crafty Friends!

I’m absolutely loving the Love Is Kind Collection right now! ��
Today’s layout features a photo of me going to the Alo Store for the very first time . Yes, I know I could have just ordered online, but honestly, I really enjoy seeing things in person . There’s just something about shopping and experiencing it for yourself that makes it more fun! A big thank you to my husband for taking me all the way to Baltimore so I could finally go.

For this layout, I started with a 12x12 sheet from the collection and cut it down to 8.5x11 .

Next, I took a strip from one of the patterned papers and trimmed it down to fit my design. I also used the packaging cover to matte my photo , which is one of my favorite ways to get even more use out of my supplies. I added some banner stickers to the left corner of the photo and used pop dots to give everything a little extra dimension .

Then, I added sticker strips to the top and bottom of the page to help frame everything in. I also cut out two squares from the packaging and placed them to the right of the photo . I distressed the edges with my scissors to give them a little more texture and character.

To add even more detail, I included a scallop strip and a die cut triangle , then finished that area off with a staple for a fun layered look. I also added pop dots to the “fun” word die cut so it would stand out a little more.

I cut out one of the tag die cuts and popped that up as well, then added a sweet little die cut butterfly .

Lastly, I created a journaling spot using a smaller prompt layered on top of a larger one. I finished it off with a scallop strip , a torn paper strip , and another staple for extra texture.

And the “Me” title ? Those are stickers from Dollar Tree — such a fun and affordable finishing touch!

I really love how this layout came together. It’s soft, layered, dimensional, and full of sweet little details that make me happy.

Today I have made a layout in my scrapbooking 10 on 10 album, I (usually) take 10 photo's on the 10th of every month and I document them.

i have been doing this project for the last 5 years and love to see the little details of thing that change and stay the same.

I have used the love is kind collection, I love the colors and they really make me long for spring.

Sketch Challenge
Good morning, friends! Today, I'm sharing a double travel notebook spread I created using the You are My Sunshine Collection and a sketch for inspiration!

Here is the image of the sketch I used for inspiration. I love the big circle with a few embellishments around the circle. Since this is a summer spread, I only used a few flowers, but I just love my take on this sketch!

I cut the circle from the Sunshine Mixed 6x9 patterned paper pack and then cut it in half to spread it across the two spreads. I cut another layout of the circle to add dimension by layering them on the circle with foam squares.

I cut the sun and flowers from patterned paper to use as embellishments on the layout. Also, I cut the "slice of summer" Word Title in half to spread the title across the two pages.

To complete the layout, I added a few butterflies and enamel dots. What do you think of this month's sketch? Isn't it fun!? Thank you so much for visiting today.
